A short experimental FPS that takes a couple cues from the Receiver games (you have to hit button combos to manually unload, reload, and ready your guns) but then goes on to have some weirder ♥♥♥♥. Sometimes it's as simple as your gun jamming and having to ready it again. However, there's the more specific ♥♥♥♥. You have to alternate between A and D to move your left and right legs. You have to remember to manually breath and blink.

It's some fun weirdo ♥♥♥♥ and you can choose which parts you want to turn on and off. By my own admissions I eventually turned off manual walking, breathing, and blinking, but I kept all the reloading and gun jamming stuff on.

With the manual stuff off, you're left with a 40 minute linear FPS where you go down hallways, reach a door that you need to trigger an alarm to open, then fight off a wave of enemies until the door opens. The guns feel good because anytime you hit an enemy, even if you don't kill them, they fall over and ragdoll in amusing ways. Enemies also have funny physics outside of being shot. A few times I watched them trip because they took corners too hard, hit the stairs at a bad angle, or even just because they bumped up against the corpse of another enemy.

I actually think the game could have benefitted from leaning into more super specific button combo ♥♥♥♥. To save the game you need to find laptops, power them on, and then find and hit ctrl and S on the in-game keyboard. But that's the only other interaction with the game world. More stuff like that would have made They Killed Your Cat stand out.

But this is still fun ♥♥♥♥. Worth it for supporting indies in making weird ♥♥♥♥.

Very solid very cool FPS with super moody atmosphere and some fun combat. Nice and short and good in the ways it needs to be.

Atmospheric as all hell. Time management horror-lite experience. Pretty cool. I would die but not before getting some sicc graffiti on the wall complaining about my broken toilet. That would be me.

This was a pretty cute, pretty chill game. It's only ~an hour long, but you get to spend that hour cleaning up oil spills and making things look pretty again. Really pretty, because the pixel art is insanely good. I wanted to clean every area not for the achievements or 100%, but because I wanted to see how everything looked with clean water and fish swimming around. Super easy otherwise. Pushing bottles around was annoying. Insane that it ends with a boss fight.

Weirdo FPS ♥♥♥♥. Headache inducing. There's a teethbrushing-themed snuff film you are forced to watch about halfway through. I could make at least three of the funny hands, hoping I too will be able to shoot lasers with enough work.

Some of the weirder levels don't really work very well, but this is overall a pretty fun and cool combination of typing games and strategy. Paul needs some coffee also, bro always looks hella tired.
