This is the open world game you didn't even know you wanted.
It may not be the game for everyone, but my friend who normally only plays shooters/racing games liked it, so I am pretty sure you will too.

It is an open-world puzzle/mystery game, where you travel around the world collecting clues and piecing together a story. Everything the developers put in this game contributes to the story, and present a chance for you to continue the narrative.
You get to travel the solar system in a cute little spaceship, whilst listening to a noice soundtrack. No existential crisis in sight.
