Look, I could tell you all about my experience with this. It's a card game at its core, but trust me, don't read reviews. Just get it and play it. I'm not even playing when I say I'd put this as a GOTY contender.

Its only crime is you can only play it the first time once.

I will legitimately never get over this in VR. The only way to improve it would be a co-op online for conquest mode.

So it got me into the roguelike scene pretty hard when I played the first one way back. I ran this game hard - like, really hard at the time.

But Enter the Gungeon came out, and I prefer that over this. It's still not bad at all - or else it'd be getting a not recommended, after all - but it's just kind of ehhh to me now.

And yes, I know the new, third DLC or whatever came out just now. But since I didn't care much for Afterbirth+ and Antibirth (that fan-mod thing, I may have the name wrong), there's not much reason to come back to it in my eyes.

But hey, it's still pretty iconic and it does what it sets out to do really well - and that's enough of an upvote for me.
