DLC doesn't give a CD key.

Steam will not honor refunds.

Arenanet will not fix the problem.

Suggested fix is to let go of your $10 only to buy the expansion a second time because the first time you bought it on the steam storefront you learned you in fact get nothing and told to buy it a second time.

Absolute scummy behavior and it has made me decide this game is better left a memory of what it was rather than what it may become with new content releases that also don't give you so much as a CD key.

I cannot stress enough they have decided they are happy with their DLC on Steam having a page that is functionally completely broken and gives you nothing in exchange for your purchase.

P2W. Gene editor is mandatory. This DLC is basically a bunch of Genesis minigames in a town that they charge $30 for when the only thing people are buying this for are trucks while they were busted and OP and the gene editor because it lets you minmax your breed stats out even further.

Go play ASE. Look at this game's DLC. Look at what they're selling you- Genesis minigames, P2W PvE and PvP tames and maps that would have been a free workshop mod last game.

Don't give this Nitrado-loan game they're still trying to pay off with these purchases any attention or love. Go play ASE since ASA's mod devkit is routinely broken for weeks to upwards of a month every update. It drove most of them back to ASE.

P2W mount that's by far the strongest cave runner and small mount ever seen in ARK. Can transform into a fully automatic shoulder-mounted flamethrower. You have it or you don't and if you don't you're automatically in an unfavorable engagement.

Go play ASE. Don't buy this ♥♥♥♥. Don't play ASA.

P2W mount. Debuffs, shuts off healing, can fear and most valuable of all can put a dino (gatherer or just a big manually loaded inventory) in a pocket realm without effecting its own carry weight, letting it carry a slot-capped dino across the skies without ever feeling any of the weight.

Go play ASE. ASA is dogwater.

I haven't played a MH game in about 20 years. I'm having a lot of fun with it but the game freezes up very often which is a restart on whatever mission I was doing and the game won't launch for me without using launch commands. Since it's a new game a solution isn't in sight and I'll post an update if one is found.

If you can deal with something that takes tinkering and is prone to crapping out on you buy it. Alternatively, wait a while and come back to it. It's not necessarily a buggy game but it's a game that will crash on you after you get it launching. Might be worth treating it like CyberPunk 2077 or Star Citizen in the sense there's two great games there that were prone to just not working.

Want to find a forever-home?

Patches will break your ♥♥♥♥ so often a guy I had a forever-home on ARK through for the past 7 years has decided they're done with this one.

Why?

Wildcard deliberately makes it so private servers will not hold character data and constantly lose it after map exchanges, bricks mods, wipes storages and then leaves you up ♥♥♥♥ creek for weeks waiting for them to push an update to their devkit.

But what if I own a Nitrado server?

Congrats, all these issues unique to server owners that brick what they've done for years and communities they've ran for years don't apply to you because the devs are sellouts.

Don't even bother with it unless you're going to play on Nitrado servers, rent a Nitrado server or have 0 interest in modded play.

Doesn't work without Windows 10. For it to work, they want your geolocation. Opting out is not an option. DoA.

It's good until you figure it out and making it harder helps you learn you didn't figure it out quite yet. It's one of those games.
