Was able to refund and looking back I'm glad that I did. Seems like the game just released so the devs could take advantage of fans who have been wanting another stalker for years. A Life doesn't work, the multiplayer a year later still isn't in the game, and they are promoting micro transactions for a 'edition upgrade' rather than focusing on the game itself.

Alright, so if I could give this game a middle rating I would however steam doesn't work that way. This game is confusing as hell, leaves you hanging most of the time, and you as the player don't really have any storyline to go after rather than what story you make up in your head to stream together missions. This is a port, so the controls are a little weird at first however just give it time and you will adjust. So why did I thumb it up with all of this going against it? Simple, the game is trippy as hell but also very fun and rewarding. The boss fights are challenging (for the most part), the little bit of story that is told is actually pretty well put together once you can start to put it all in line. Is it worth full price? No. But on sale for 10 bucks or less, go for it. All in all, it's pretty fun.

The game was amazing at launch. It created horrifying cities, and it made you fear night more than nay other game similar to it. however, the game was abandoned and just kinda left to die. There have been no updates and the game (last I checked) was filled with hackers to the point where as soon as you leave a 'safe zone' you get shot in the head from 2 miles away. This game could have given DayZ a run for its money, but sadly it just didn't stand a chance due to lack of development

As much as I want to love this game, I can't. Hackers run rampant, Chinese will teamkill anyone that isn't chinese even though they are playing on NA servers, and this game is the literal embodiment of 4-Chan. The game itself is fun, it has it's flaws but overal gameplay is enjoyable. Until Blue Hole does something about the hacking situation and region locks chinese players, I can't give it a positive rating. Should they keep ignoring these issues, the game will just die off.

Early access done right...

Sadly, like most early access games that came out on steam about a year ago, this has been abandoned. The devs took the money and ran. No news or updates for about a year, if not longer. and the only info we have to go off of is that the only dev that has responded (back in about September 2015) said that the game is on hold because he has no money. Which to be honest I kind of doubt concidering how big this game sold 1 year ago. Still in Alpha, still no updates. Don't buy.

Until this game is completly finished, I would not buy it, even if it is on sale. This game has been in Alpha for a solid year and a half and probably will still be early access for another 2 or 3 years based on how slow the devs are working on this game. There are still bugs from day 1 that are in this game, and while it is fun to play for a short amount of time, you will get borded of this game in about a week. This game does have a lot of potential, and I feel if the devs truly buckeled down and finished this game there could be a lot to offer. However right now this is just a shell of a game. There are lots of bugs and this game will crash/freeze alot. I personally feel like this game was a cash grab and it shouldn't have been released until far later. The devs have made many promises with the game but have failed to deliever them after almost 2 years since they opened the game.

This game had a lot of potention. Yes, it has it's fair share of problems like many. However the biggest issue is the lack of players. It's a class based (selected and changed through out the games) and you have to make your way to objectives. Similar to a mix of Killing Floor and L4D. While you can enjoy this game playing solo. It's not nearly as fun if you actually could find anyone playing.
