One of the things I like about Elite Dangerous is that you can do just about anything anywhere. Sure if you want to do it well, or easily, you'll need to earn some cash and buy some new modules, but you can go out into the black and be whomever or whatever you want. If you like semi-realistic space travel and want to explore the galaxy, or be a badass bounty hunter, or maybe just make a fortune as a merchant a-la space truckers, then this is the game for you.
