The sound of a waterfall distorted the humming of the morning birds, ready to start their day of doing whatever the hell birds do. Probably hunting for food, mating with other birds, taking care of their bird children and, quite possibly, being eaten by birds greater in size than them, among other things. Nobody likes birds.
At least Nekomiya doesn’t. The still sleepy girl slowly waddles over to the small lake formed where the water lands, with zero willpower in her step. To her, birds are a sign of oppression. The grim reminder that she isn’t a morning person, but the people around her are. She looks at a pair of tits fighting on a nearby tree branch, completely unaffected by her seething negative energy. One of them turns its gaze towards her, tilting its head in question, but soon gets pecked by the other and returns to the loud fight.
Neko really hates mornings. There’s nothing good about them. The air is cold, the ground is wet, there’s too much to be done and, despite being tired, there’s no time to rest. She tests the water in the lake with the tip of her toe, making a very unpleasant expression as she does so. Naturally, the water isn’t very warm.
