I bought this game on release, played it 3 days later due to personal issues and holy mackerel I am glad this is not the only Touhou game I bought this week. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about buying this game to stay away from it as it has so many issues before even playing the game like controller not working, graphics settings being a bit lackluster and not explaining what they change.

As for gameplay it is terrible the character (Reimu) is hard to control, the camera is slow and the performance is abysmal dropping all over the place and never keeping a stable 60fps even though my PC meets the requirements.

Once again stay away from it probably never pick it up unless you see that they have brought out a patch that fixes mine and many other peoples issues

Don't pick up this game just don't do yourself a favour and go and spend the £4.99 on a different game or on a takeaway/whatever you want. This isn't a game it is just a glorified music player like VLC as it is just visuals for your music there is technically no objective, no failure state, nothing.

What makes it worse is that it does its job badly I played a bunch of music from Touhou through it and it failed to line up the beats in the song to its in game pick ups (white dots on the road in the screenshots which you are supposed to pick up) something other rhythm games like Melody's Escape had no problems with.

Once again just don't buy this game do anything else with your money

Rhythm game, check! Cute art style, check! Enjoyable music, check! Simple controls, check! Why haven't you picked it up yet? It's cheap and its good you've got nothing to lose.

Heard about this mod from some people on Twitter, thought I would download it and give it a try and I now know why people are talking about it.

The mod may only be 30 minutes to an hour long depending on what difficulty you play it on but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment I got from this little mod. The combat did not feel overwhelming and the puzzle weren't so easy to the point were you would fall asleep and they weren't so hard to the point were you would give up they were just right just like Portal's puzzles.

The only problem I had with this mod is the random framerate drops. My PC isn't a power house and if you are woundering what my specs are they are listed on my profile but I have never had a problem playing a Valve game before and keeping 60fps on high yet this game would like to drop to the 50's sometimes for no reason what so ever

I would 100% recommend downloading and playing this mod if you have an hour to spare
