i'm convinced the people writing bad reviews have never played Circuit Superstars, or if they have, they may not have enjoyed that either. this game is fun IMO. If you played Circuit Superstars, you know exactly what you are getting into.

However, there probably should be more licensed cars, as the licensing was the main marketing draw for the game.

I was going to play Skyrim again, but now i don't have to.

i've got about 90 minutes in this game, so take it with a grain of salt, but as someone who plays a lot of rally games (mostly sims), this is a mixed bag.

Pros:
Car variety, period accurate cars.
Interesting stages, variety of surfaces
Lost track of time while playing

Cons:
If there's a way to switch to manual transmission, i haven't figured out how to do it. Automatic with rally just ain't it.
Pace notes leave more to be desired. Very basic, often late. no distance calls

Cars are weightless. Like, not arcade weightless, but like take these cars and put them in zero gravity kind of weightless.
trying to do actual rally technique is difficult because there's no weight to these cars. They just immediately do what you want. left 90 degrees at 60mph? You got it bud. Right hairpin 40mph no brakes? Not a problem, dawg.
Its not even arcade 'bad', its just bad. a huge part of rally racing is using the weight of the car to do what you want, and you just cant do that here. It just does it.

i am going to keep this game, because it was fairly reasonably priced, and i wish it well. But if you want a realistic rally experience, this isn't it

EDIT: The update today has addressed most of my concerns. Manual transmission is now applicable, and the cars feel more weighted. Developer is listening, Changed to recommend.

I wanted to like this game, but it's garbage. Took me an hour to get passed the opening battle because the cut scenes kept freezing to load. Half the time, UI wasn't even on screen during gamplay, so i didnt even know what the controls were. and the objectives wouldn't even trigger.

Never mind the fact i had it set to normal and you're still basically walking tank.
Refund requested.

This game is great. I replayed the demo for hours waiting for this. So far it's exactly what they made it out to be. What you see in the demo is what you get.

As an IRL Trucker, it's great, as an ATS Fan (obviously Space Trucker isn't a simulator, but it's trucking) it's great.

I'm only an hour in but so far I am not disappointed.

Keep in mind, it seems the game was built with playing on a controller (i am) as a priority.

Please try the game or demo for yourselves. I have been reading some of the negative reviews, and I disagree with most of them.
Most of the gripes seem to be similar to really any other game like this. Some are saying the gameplay is repetitive...it's a trucking game.

This is actually a pretty good game IMO and i'm sad to see it abandoned. Hasn't been updated since November 2021.
