Rocket League is an addictive game. When playing with ball cam on (this means the ball is always in the center of the screen, despite driving anywhere AND the ball moving anywhere), the player has to deal with any situation from all angles. On top of that, the controls for flight allow the player to move in a similar sort of way; rotating to any angle to hit the ball. That's not easy.

But Rocket League is not a perfect game, nor is it close to being perfect. Matchmaking is generally unfair - some players are very unpleasant and they will totally let you know that - people are reporting players left right and center for being too bad or too good or just because they feel like it - there's a good chunk of luck, never mind bullsh it in generally whatever happens, leaving the game thinking "WTF was that" and "I need to quit this game"

Overall I rate this game as a waste of time, as there's an infinite learning curve.

The game is not as exact as the original, in design and gameplay - There are bugs and problems.

It is a cross-platform hybrid FPS/Tower Defence game with online matchmaking of various modes and styles, featuring a few customisable character classes and an abundance of weapons, towers and perks. Maps are often not limited to the tower grid and sometimes cover vast explorable distances. Enemies are varied in type and offer ideas for different tactics and strategies though somewhat limited in count. The last wave in a round frequently provides additional challenges and frustrations.

So the game offers an interesting blend of thoughtful tower defense and mindless shooting, all wrapped around cool explosions and a chance to deviate from regular gameplay.
