I do also find it ironic that the art director of Hades 2 is literally named Jen Zee.

You know, the game where they went down the SBI checklist, blackwashing and converting the vast majority of Greek deities into "inclusive icons".

Jen Zee. Gen Z. Hilarious.

I've 100%'d the game since my last two reviews, overall my experience with the game is positive, the game is beautiful, act 1 however is HEAVILY overtuned, act 2 is amazing, act 3 goes back into a little bit of a slog but redeems itself.

Since my first review I've played this game for several more hours and I have additional thoughts on it. So while I'm giving the game an overall positive score now, it's more of a neutral score because the negative points are still VERY negative.

Silksong is absolutely overtuned, they wanted to make a hard game, but instead they made it punishing and tedious. There are way too many traps where you'll get caught in them without any prior knowledge of them, and they do two hearts of damage. And there are also traps that even if you know of that trap type, they've hidden so well that you cant do anything about it anyway.

The start of a new game is still very horrid, basically all the common complaints you see about the game are valid. And until you get the reaper or wanderer crest, several areas of the map are just inaccessible.

It's not a skill issue, it's basic game design rules that have been broken, ground up and stomped into the dirt.

Oh... And I found Bilewater... Whoever made Bilewater has a special place in hell waiting for them.

This isn't a game. It's a pie with no filling. It is the sea of thieves of party games. It's just streamer bait.

Crypto bros ruin everything.

It's a buggy mess, no pun intended.

This was a cute little puzzle game with an interesting mechanic. Unfortunately the game is too short in its current state.

I do hope more levels are in the works, but as it stands right now, it's an enjoyable hour and a little bit.

I'd recommend picking it up on sale though, 22 bucks (AUD) is pretty steep for an hour of content.

It's mid.

It was good, a little shorter than chapter one, but the story was solid.

An amazing game so far, 50 hours in and I still haven't finished it.
Haven't had any issues up until yesterday when I installed the NVIDIA Geforce Driver 531.18.
Which led me to finding this solution:

If you have the black screen on launch:
1. Go to: C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy.
2. Delete everything within the folder.
3. Launch the game and wait for it to prepare shaders. (It will take a while.)
This should fix the issue!


I'll make a proper review when I finish the game, but for now it's amazing, and definitely a contender for GOTY.
