lovely game, addictive for my ADHD brain, and...dare I say...Satisfying? this is a Satisfactory experience.

lots of third party resources and mods also available too, since this game started from early access, which means there are wonderful guides available for lots of different playstyles.

this game is incredibly well designed, the mechanics back up the exploratory focus of the game, and discovering the story of the various locations you visit is wonderfully rewarding. the game has wonderful attention to detail, and I have been unable to find any mechanic that breaks any sort of immersion.

a simple survival game with a lot of potential creativity within both the modular base design, vehicles, and polygonal terrain deformation! there IS a rather simplistic story that serves as more of a reward for exploration and rare item collection, which helps to add quite a bit to the game! unlocking the various suits and colorations is a joy, and the emotes help add silliness!

the recent addition of many many more platforms and various little doodads for minigames makes the multiplayer aspect of this game quite engaging! this game supports 4 player co-op, and there ARE plans for a "headless server" to be added to the game at a later point in time, and more than 4 players as a maximum limit, as game optimizations are put through to make this a more reasonable task.

the Astroneer website has a Trello roadmap, which details a lot of the planned additions and developments! the game developers are amazingly communicative (and also spend some time on the Community Discord! which has player search, and places to share your creations!)

while it is definitely reminiscent of Factorio and other Factory style games, the focus is not on production lines, but instead it is a simpler, more Goal oriented production game, instead of long production lines and complex crafting trees. it definitely has a reminiscence to Tycoon games such as Roller Coaster tycoon, balancing income with taxation and spending.

when with friends, the possiblities and combinations for the various classes become SOO much more engaging.

would also recommend looking into Tmodloader, for a modding experience that will surely extend the lifespan of this game for many a year, it has for me!
