I have fun but I cannot recommend it due to its technical state and content for its price.
Although no battlefield of ye olde it is a competent and fun shooter.

The things it does well (gunplay and combined warfare) is available in other games for a cheaper price or even f2p.
It looks good, runs very well and matches have intense firefights and brilliant impromptu displays of teamplay (if you know how to force it though).

But it is not the product it was advertised. This is not the game i bought only 2 weeks ago.
It is blatantly unfinished und bugged.
I was thinking that as a Battlefield game it was heading into the right direction but still hits those rakes like Sideshow-Bob in that one scene from the simpsons. Now after the S1 patch and the deployment of their battlepass, skins and new map I am just disappointed.


To be frank it is unfathomable how they had the ressources and archives (hopefully) of over 20 years of Battlefield AND STILL didn't get it.
I played BF from 1942 up until BF4. Skipped later entries due to their declining quality and increasing quantity. I played the open beta and liked it, although I only enjoyed Peak and Cairo. Oh boy, seems like I had played half the map pool I like already,
What are those maps? Why is there so little space for proper flanking? Why is there so much unplayable space and ironically so much unplayed space (Iberian: small alleys north-west and north, Mirak: north and south plains)? What is the purpose of the transport helicopter now? To be target practice?
Smaller maps like Iberian Offensive have little to no flow of the frontline.
Oilfields is just a big empty space with little to no structures i.e. cover. Its like bouncing between two extremes.

Classes are either bugged or inbalanced for no other reason than "shaking things up", I suppose.
I main(ed) assault/medic in every game I played, obviously support was gonna be my man (lol).
Why does support have health AND ammo? What does the assault get now? A small speed boost and explosive resistance that lasts for 8 seconds?!
Why does only the support class get smoke grenades? Why is there no shared equipment like in prior titles?

Why is it necessary to unlock basic gadgets by completing challenges which actively force players into specific playstyles where they might hinder teamwork and therefore lose the game? WHO TESTED THIS?

Bugs are fixable, balancing is fixable but man...
The whole design seems seriously foreign to me. The core gameplay is fun, especially with a squad of friends but that's a given for almost every game.

This is Battlefield 6 from Battlefield Studios, not DICE from 10-20 years ago.

Still gonna play some rounds but as things progress I might take another 10-year brake after this entry.
