I wasn’t sure what to expect returning to Los Santos after all these years, but the Enhanced Edition honestly surprised me in the best way possible. GTA V has always been a massive, chaotic sandbox, but the upgraded visuals, smoother performance, and quality-of-life improvements make it feel surprisingly fresh in 2025.

The first thing I noticed was the improved lighting. Sunsets look warmer, neon lights at night pop more, and small details—like rain reflections on the street—give the city a ton of atmosphere. It’s not a full remake, but it definitely feels more alive than the older versions. With the boosted performance, driving through busy areas doesn’t tank the framerate anymore, which used to be a problem.

Gameplay-wise, it’s still the GTA V everyone knows: three memorable protagonists, a story that bounces between dramatic and completely ridiculous, and a huge open world full of distractions. The enhancements don’t change the core experience, but they make the world more enjoyable to explore. Even after finishing the campaign years ago, I still found myself wandering around, doing random side activities just because the world feels good to exist in.

GTA Online is still a mixed bag. It’s fun—ridiculously fun, sometimes—but it can feel bloated with content and the grind can be real if you’re not into microtransactions. That said, the smoother loading times alone already make the whole experience far less frustrating than before.

Overall, if you’ve never played GTA V, this is absolutely the best version to jump into. And if you have played it but want to revisit the game with a modern coat of polish, the Enhanced Edition is worth it, especially during a sale. It’s not revolutionary, but it definitely breathes new life into a classic.

Rating: 9/10 – Still one of the most entertaining open-world games out there, now looking and running better than ever.

"It’s still CS – but shinier, smokier, and somehow even sweatier."

Let’s be real – Counter-Strike 2 isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s more like Valve took the classic CS:GO formula, gave it a fresh coat of paint, added some new toys, and said: “Good luck, have fun.”

Graphics & Feel:
The Source 2 engine makes a big difference. Maps feel brighter and more detailed, and the new smoke grenades are genuinely impressive. They interact with the environment, expand more naturally, and can even be shot through with bullets or cleared with grenades. It’s not just visual flair – it adds real tactical depth.

Gunplay & Mechanics:
Still the gold standard of competitive shooters. Every bullet counts. Every peek, every jiggle, every half-second decision could win or lose you the round. It's punishing, but in the most addicting way possible. If you mess up, it’s your fault – not the game’s.

Improvements?
Yes, but it’s not perfect. There were bugs early on (still are, depending on your system), and not everyone loves how some maps were redesigned. Matchmaking has improved a bit, but the classic CS issues – toxic teammates, questionable comms, occasional cheaters – still show up. It’s part of the experience at this point.

Bottom Line:
Counter-Strike 2 is a worthy successor. It doesn’t flip the table, it just sharpens the knives. If you loved CS:GO, this is your new home. If you’re new… prepare to suffer, but in a way that keeps you coming back.
