fantastic game. weird as hell, but fantastic

idk if this is a hot take but doom 1 is so superior to doom 2 it's not even funny

it's a good game, in 2026 it's a bit dated but overall still pretty good. the sequel, however, is fantastic, and remedy's other game, control, ties in to the story. highly recommend both of those games, and if you're gonna play them (especially alan wake 2), then you need to play this first to understand the story. even just this game on its own i'd still recommend though

its certainly not perfect but it's still a good game and easy to recommend. a few of the cutscenes felt a bit sloppy that were supposed to be climactic, there's some bugs, but other than that the story is pretty good, performances from the actors were good, the game looks good, the puzzles were mostly good and the combat is pretty good. if you like survival horror games then it's definitely worth playing

although this game can be extremely fun, it's just so unstable. in just a little over an hour of playing i've dealt with 3-4 crashes and the game refusing to start, forcing me to disable some windows security setting just to run it. if it ever gets fixed or just becomes more stable then it'd be an easy recommendation from me, but as it stands it's very much not.

rogue city was fantastic and ran fairly well. this game, as much as i want to love it, runs pretty terribly. a real shame, hopefully they fix it because as it stands it's borderline unplayable on even low settings. rogue city was pretty smooth on medium/high settings.

fantastic game, lots to unlock, tons of challenges. hopefully more content is added soon to expand on it all even more, but for 10 dollars you can't get much better than this

its a good game but only get it on sale, i beat it and got all of the achievements in under 8 hours. personally i couldnt justify buying it at full price. very fun though
