Unfortunately, they seem to add and balance things to their vision which would be fine if they took into account what the community actually wanted. It feels like all player agency has been lost in regards to the war effort, it doesn't help that the squad impact is bugged when you finish a mission making it unclear how much you are actually contributing to the war effort. I just wish it was more clear and less buggy; it’s such a shame they don’t seem to know what direction to take the war in as the illuminate are still a nothing front and Cyberstan left players wanting more.

The balancing choices they make are questionable at best, even going as far to omit nerfs by unlisting them from the patch notes entirely. An example being the quiet nerf to fire weapons limiting their effectiveness in general which is misleading and dishonest when they said they wouldn't nerf the coyote gun. Rather than buff or alter guns and equipment in a way that makes them more effective or interesting (Stim pistol and Flag for example) the developers seem more preoccupied with following their vision rather than the health of the games balance and meta in its entirety.

This doesn't represent all players clearly, but I also am disappointed in the community that has been fostered, as toxicity has grown amongst players especially ones higher in levels. Many are loyal to certain fronts and will kick, team kill or abuse those who are lower level or in a different front as it doesn’t match their view of how the war should go. The developers need to do more to hold those accountable inside and outside the game, especially in the more extreme cases when death threats start getting involved. Their recent action in regards to this shows they are spineless and will only give those who abuse others a slap on the wrist especially in regards to the charity challenge tragedy. This game is at its best during those times when everyone is cooperating and fighting together rather than attacking each other.

There are bugs that have been there since day one, me and my friends still have issues connecting to each other’s lobbies sometimes as for some reason having a LAN connection can still interfere with joining other players lobbies. It feels like the developers add more bloated content with the expectation us players will buy into their greed and then sit complacent when they deem a weapon isn't worth buffing/changing to make it a viable option. They need to focus more on fixing bugs, listening to players voice and giving them more agency, and making the balance of the game less focused on what they want for us.

Without a clear direction of where the game is headed or what promises they will keep or break, it's hard to justify buying more war bonds let alone even recommending the game to someone else. Arrowhead will add content, forget about it and then wonder why everyone is begging them to change said items. There is a distinct lack of connection between the community and the developers, more needs to be done to mend the rift between the two and maybe then when the players start feeling heard again that’s when the game will be a more positive space again.
