This game is amazing. Sure, it has it's issues, but when you pick this game up and learn it for the first time, I promise you it will be extremely hard to put it down. The modding community also ups the replayability of this game ten-fold, even though, for me personally, each save lasts me at least a month of playing or more. The game has plenty of different ways to play on its own, but modding increases this, too. You might take a break from playing after playing a save for a long time, but it always draws you back in eventually.

First things first, I understand why people leave terrible reviews for this game.
This game is $35 and still has a decent amount of issues:

- Hackers are a problem sometimes (less now than before)

- Bugs (there are a substantial amount of bugs, but before it was terrible, and the dev team has actually fixed a lot of them; there is a very unlikely chance you'll run into a bug in this game to be quite honest)

- Slow progress so far (This means that progress for this game has been slower than normal for a game of this caliber; the progress recently, though, is picking up. The reason it has been slow is because the dev team has made a new engine for the game to replace the ArmA engine, which is why this game has so many bugs. The next few updates will completely change the game, i.e. new player controller and new sound system.)

- Not a lot of things to do at the moment. (The only thing to do right now in this game is loot up and kill people. or loot up and make a base with tents. The dev team has also begun work with a base-building system, similar to the Arma 2 DayZ mod.)

This game also has a lot of upsides:

- Every encounter makes your heart race.

- Looting up and getting geared can be frustrating at times but is fairly fun.

- Playing this game with friends is a great time.

- Killing people in this game is fun, but so is roleplaying.

- There are lots of servers to choose from. This can be a bad thing, but it is more of a good thing.

All in all, I can see why people dislike this game and leave bad reviews. Progress is getting better, and the game was just optimized, so if someone tells you no one can run the game well, they're wrong now. The next few updates will completely change the game.
