Friends? What are those....? I heard you can solo queue, but I haven't quite found that option yet.

No voice chat to communicate. My random teammates would run off in their own directions away from the objective. If the party was present, they would snatch up EVERY weapon before even looking at it, not even giving others a chance to adjust their build. With that said, I think separate drop pools would be a nice touch. Randoms are either toxic or stupid

Needs more support for Steam Deck, but it still works. Some things are just easier with the touch screen, however, I'd prefer full controller support. The potential for an amazing game is here!!!

Do you enjoy looking up maps and guides on the interwebs? Yep, it's one of those games. Personally, I had fun with it. Great title if you play on Steam Deck

It's been greatly outshined by Dark Souls 1+3, but is still a fun game on Steam Deck. It's not as demanding as Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring, so it's a great way to get my Souls fix without draining the battery in 1 hour.

Would I recommend this game? I would say no. The hate is there for a reason. The movement is clunky and PvP is cancer. But if you're a Souls perfectionist like myself, you'll be putting the time in

dark souls with a dedicated jump button? shut up and take my money!

Very challenging and visually pleasing for those who enjoy retro 8-bit games.
A rich and dark story with multiple endings.
Enjoy raging at your screen for hours on end.

Carpe Diem, Maggots

Enjoying it so far. I keep hearing about players quitting because of the skill gap after the first few matches. We'll see, but the visuals and mechanics so far have me hooked. If I can manage to learn a few "pro tricks" from some YouTube vids, this will end up being my next BR game. Every game has its exploits and secret mechanics. Learning how to chain all that together is no harder than mastering the next multiplayer game. So I'll suck it up and get my ass kicked until I git gud

Dark Souls: Prepare To Die: In Higher Resolution

Only reason I edited my previous review was because DS:PtD is pretty dead compared to DS:R, seeing as how it was removed from Steam Store. It was never a terrible review, just a biased one. Now though, I'm realizing this community is larger, the graphics are noticeably smoother, and the matchmaking is slightly* more fair. Still twinkers out there but becoming 1 yourself is a good challenge run and half the fun. The other half is wrecking a fresh player just making it to Undead Parish while trying to summon help for Bell Gargoyles. Seriously, you deserved it...they're ez boss

I started out solo with GTA Online and it was a rough start trying to get money saved up. But once you get a business running it gets better. It eventually got to the point though, where I was starting to lose interest. That is, until I met a great group of friends who recommended Discord chat. We now have our own small crew of people we can trust and get along with, and I must say it has made this game 1,000x better then it was before. When you have a group of people who are also willing to help grind for money and are able to have fun doing it...it reminds me why I loved this game to begin with. Really brings back the nostalgia of it all

So if I had at least 1 recommendation, make sure you're able to use voice chat (Discord is the popular program choice) Online gameplay isn't the same without it

Great game in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed customizing/building my own settlement and the mechanics are easy to use. The weapon and armor mods are a nice installment (I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE JET PACK/STEALTH BOY MOD ON POWER ARMOR) Of course, this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning the hilarious glitches that sometimes occur. After all the hours I've dumped into this game, it's still just as fresh every time i turn it on and I'm sure that won't change any time soon.
