GRIS is a visually breathtaking puzzle-platformer and the first game from Nomada Studio. GRIS focuses on storytelling through the environment and music without any dialogue or narration. At it's core, GRIS is a 2D platformer with simple abilities added to your character throughout the game. The initial pacing of the game was a little slow with only simple puzzles but quickly became more fleshed out with additional abilities and level complexity. Total play time for myself was 3 hours but I did take my time to smell the roses and take many screenshots. I highly recommend GRIS to anyone with interest in games that are more on the artsy side. This is the first time I have seen a game use watercolour as the main art style and feel as though it was executed perfectly. GRIS is a strong contended for my Game of the Year 2018 and I hope to see more excellent games from Nomada Studio in the future.

If your friend tells you to buy this game so you can play co-op online, don't buy this game. There isn't online co-op, only couch co-op.
