You have to run the EXE files as administrator to get this to run.

OMG, How could you get a steering wheel so wrong.

I can recommend based on my personal preferences for play. Yours may differ.
* I don't like PVP and I can easily stay out of it.
* I like playing solo or with one friend and that is super easy to do and still make progress without penalty.
* I like to get into my character/stories/enviroment and here the graphics and questing system make the difference.
* I don't need to be in a guild to play decently.
* The community here is helpful and nice. Makes a difference.

FYI: My low hours are because I switched to steam just recently. I've been playing this for years.

This is my reminder not to install this a third time. I remembered everything I didn't like about it in a few minutes - best not to waste the web bits getting it again.

No bugs or crashes
Good story / sci-fi
Pace is steady, moves along well
Fun combat, no stupid boss battles

WOW ( a very old version ) with spacesuits
Cheesy (Not the high level of Bioware story-telling)
Bloated (90GB DL)

Good time sync if you are stuck at home

It's been seven hours according to Steam and I have yet to get in the game. Not a great installer,

Played finally, crashed twice when changing settings. Hung up the PC where a power off was required.

When I do play, its a good story. Combat is ok. Interesting enough to keep trying. But don't get it until they get the bugs out of it.

I HATE BOSS BATTLES

OK, I take it back.
Seems they were two levels above me and I just missed that having come in through side quests. Will recommend.

As much as it annoys me to go through a boss battle sequence (cuz I like the story thanks very much I don't want to work at a game) they do still give a nice challenge. The play is immersive. The visuals and sound, stunning.

If I take out my pet peeve above and look at the rest of the game, it is solid. It has breadth (lots to do) and depth (lots to think about and invest in).

Best thing I can say about this game is - IT IS NOT A BUGGY PILE like so many modern titles tend to be. One of the few studios left worth investing your future dollars in without reservation. Of course, it would really be nice if I didn't have to end-task it at the end of every session but that might be my PC clock.(Update: fixed a couple of days later)

And hat's off to the team and leaders that put together the historical walk through. Really paid it forward there.

I love Blaskowiecz but I hate the boss battles. Then there is the save corruption that makes me play 40% of the game over again cuz it decided to puke just before I got done. Not worth going through that again. Wake me when its over.

I played this a lot before they moved to the Steam platform. We met every week. It was a mess, but we laughed. Then we finally gave up, it was just too hard to play. When it went to Steam I thought maybe the dropouts and odd behaviors would go away. This is still broken.

But even then, it used to be fun until they nerfed all the DNA oddities. Now it's just buggy. Uninstalling again.
