While I enjoyed the game, but it plays like a semi-interactive 2 hour cartoon. I would have preferred to have paid about half as much for the content. So positive review, wait for the >50% off sale.

Way more creatively complex and emotionally compelling than I expected, far more RPG elements than pure violence, like a direct and tonally consistent sequel of Robocop 1, not at all a direct-to-vhs knockoff focusing only on the gunplay. So far I'm very impressed and it seems like a lot of the bugs have been ironed out by my playthough, hit very few.

Don't buy, it currently just crashes in several ways.

Crashes when creating a story
Crashes when opening a story
Crashes when importing a video and other content
and if you get past all of that...
Fails to display videos (just a black screen)

Disappointing, looked good otherwise.

Update: Finished all three missions over 75 crash to desktops to get there, game will only crash to desktop before loading the final battle tried at least 20 times... so, giving up for now.

Currently crashes to desktop frequently. Been playing for 2 days, crashed at least 20 times, sometimes over and over at the same points.

I will recommend and change my review once it is patched, I keep booting it up after my crash dump completes, but right now, hold off.

Windows 10/AMD 3700x/5700 XT no idea if that matters.

There are far too many other bugs, ignoring the graphical, enemies walking 6 foot above you, etc. But the game-breaking ones are the painful ones... Special abilities not working and costing an extra action, the sectopod boss of a final level triggering while in Breach mode (Supposed to trigger when you approach a door near the end). Being unable to select breach options unless you bounce operators around for a while and click really fast on their flashbang. Mastercrafted armor gives +1 utility slot... nope. Items just getting erased from inventory, etc.

If you typically play Ironman style, wait for a patch, you will get rocked by a bug instead of RNG.

Wrote this update to the review while trying to get xcom to force close as it was completely frozen up after being left on overnight... because that's another way it bugs out.

Excellent physics, destructible environments, thoughtful sound propagation create a game with a deep meta that really advances the genre of online shooter.
