Distils Sea of Thieves-like combat into its best parts, while transplanting it into space. Great gameplay loop that provides a slow build-up of equipment into memorable, frantic and earned victories (and losses!). Big cannons, broken shields, exploding reactors, dicey dashes for the exit portal and sneaky boarding of enemy ships to steal and assassinate.

This is an old-school game dev team and it shows, you can feel the care and love put into this game, from the gorgeous visuals and character design to the satisyingly-tuned gameplay.

This is probably the best CRPG to date. Larian Studios have managed to string a robust, innovative, adaptable combat system to a genuinely compelling story, with gorgeous set drops, great plot twists and fantastic characters.

This game has gone from awful to brilliant. It has taken a slight (2 years) detour, but it has not only met the orginal expectations, instead far exceeding them. The sense of wonder from exploration is simply unparalleled, backed up by strong survival and combat mechanics.
