The game Counter Strike: Global offensive is one of the best designed and well thougt out games of all time.
It's game-design simply screams hard work and planning. I could come up with a thousand more reasons why this game is superior, but that'll be for another day. But I can say that game mechanics, the matchmaking system, the support for competetive play, is the best in the industry.
If you haven't tried CS:GO (Counter Strike: Global Offensive) I truly hope you will some day. It's far cheaper than some other FPS-games out there, and it is still quite a lot better than those titles.

So do I recommend it? Yes, I do.
