After about 100 hours of playtime I feel safe in saying that Balatro is, pound for pound, one of the greatest video games we've ever seen as consumers. The idea of a video game, in all of its creative and quantitative definitions, is realized in this simple masterpiece. Amazing music, fantastic visuals, addictive game play loop, and a rewarding difficulty. Put it on the mount Rushmore of indie games, it's likely the best one of them all.
