Short but unique, Scanner Sombre is worth sitting down and playing. In one session, ideally - the journey through the cave is best experienced in one unbroken path. Great sound design, a unique mechanic and visual style, combined with snippets of story that all contribute to the creeping sense of dreadful beauty that only a dark, dead cave can provide.

A genuinely unique mechanic, with near perfect implementation, great level design, aesthetic and audio. It's short, you can beat everything 100% in around 4 hours, but they're a great 4 hours.

Incredibly janky and frustrating. UI will sometimes just not work, customisation will randomly revert, and inputs will just not work the same between play sessions.

But I'm still playing. And I'm still having fun.

Replaced a game I paid for without warning, missing half the gamemodes, workshop and Steam Deck support. In exchange, we get broken level streaming, falling through the world and a nifty volumetric smoke effect. Great.

A fantastic followup to the first episode, twisting the story in a really cool direction. I've not been this shocked by a game's story in a while.

Gameplay ends up being closer to Thief, another Looking Glass created series, rather than *Shock, but this title also sees the return of elements that had been cut from prior Infinite games, such as the ability to carry multiple medkits. The stealth mechanic is fully fleshed out, including nice touches such as walking on broken glass making more noise, and it even throws in a basic lockpicking minigame (which can also be used to hack turrets at long last!!).

Utterly amazing, and a brilliant way to cap off the Bioshock story.

A true return to form, Burial At Sea winds back most of the combat changes from Infinite, returns to Rapture, and makes everything just feel right again.

We're still missing some complexity (no hacking minigame, no carrying medkits or EVE hypos), but the game is well balanced around this. And the weapon wheel is back!!

Worth owning Infinite to be able to play.
