If there was a game on Steam that made me wish there was a "Neutral" review type, it would be this one.


I decided to try Rivals after watching Thunderbolts to scratch that Marvel game itch. While Rivals is fun for the most part, for me the game lacks substance. I guess I shouldn't be expecting too much of that from a Marvel hero shooter though.

This is just my opinion but a lot of the menu UI is very confusing, preferring being overly flashy over actually making sense. Some of the events are poorly explained on what you need to do to unlock items. For example, the Event Quest for the Wolverine Patch outfit says all you have to do is collect 4 gifts to unlock the next part of the quest, when in reality you have missions to do on top of that, but all the page for the quest says is collecting the gifts is enough.

I'll stick with it a bit longer and keep trying it. It's a decent game but definitely not what I was expecting. At least it's free, so nothing of monetary value was lost. The skins are very nice, it's nice to see MCU and Comic skin tie ins, the characters are fun to play, mostly.

"Do you know what time it is?"

I've been following this game from a distance ever since it launched, and well... needless to say my initial outlook on the game was not good.

I've been playing Payday since Payday 2, with roughly 500 hours, and it was a pretty good time back then. Around 2017 or so. So when Payday 3 released in the state it did, it did sadden me to see that the franchise was probably going to die on a whimper.

Over time I've been watching the state of the game "improve" (In quotes because there's still a pretty long ways to go). But the upcoming addition of Jacket (My Favorite PD2 Heister) as well as the current sale caught my attention.

So I decided to take a risk, and buy Payday 3. So far, It's a decent game. Maybe not great, but not terrible. As of now it doesn't hold a candle to Payday 2, but it has potential... potential that may not be realized, but the future is unknown. The roster is painfully small right now, and most likely won't live up to PD2 in it's prime, but who knows, it's too soon to say.

I really like the animations they added, it gives actions a lot more heft and satisfaction, but I've always been a sucker for animations, for weapons or otherwise.

As far as the playerbase goes... it's pretty small, especially compared to PD2, but my interactions with them so far have been pleasant.

Now for the hot take... while PD2 is still better as of now, there are a few things PD3 does that I like a bit better. Mostly the aforementioned animations.

Final Verdict

If you are curious about PD3, I recommend picking it up on sale. I can't recommend paying full price for it under any circumstance. It had a very rough launch, I won't deny that, and it's future remains mostly uncertain. As of now, I think PD2 is still a better investment than PD3, but if No Man's Sky can make a pretty strong comeback, it's possible this can..

A friend gifted me this game (and it's DLCs) after I played the sequel, and I gotta say it's pretty darn good. It's an older game, but it doesn't feel dated. I enjoy that missions are much shorter than HD2, and Samples aren't as much of a pain or priority to collect. There's no common, rares or supers here, just "samples", and that's fine with me.

The only bad thing I can say about the game right now is that it's player base is significantly smaller than HD2, but that isn't the game's fault, just the cruel flow of time. It's much simpler than it's sequel, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Sometimes less is more. It's still got the Helldivers spirit.

FOR SUPER EARTH!

The first Kingdom Hearts game I ever played was 358/2 Days for the DS, way back in 2009. It's still one of my favorite KH games to this day. Sadly I never got to experience most of the other games in the series on account of not having a Playstation. I am very glad to say that changes now. I look forward to experiencing the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Honestly... I have very mixed feelings on this DLC... it's not bad, just not necessarily worth full price.

Some of the weapons are pretty nice, I really like the P-4 Senator, the cyborg cosmetics are pretty awesome, the Stratagem Hero ship game is... alright. The Knight Weapon is probably my least favorite part, the armor set isn't too bad, makes it so your chest can't bleed, and a 50% chance of surviving a lethal hit. There's a armor set in the base game that does the same thing, though when you get far enough in the first Warbond. And lastly... the Super Citizen status... exists. No real tangible benefit comes from it aside from a bit of name color.

Again, this DLC isn't... "bad" it's just not quite worth the money unless that's no object for you.

So far I am actually enjoying Helldivers 2... but I can't really recommend it, especially to new players. Overall, it's a pretty fun game, Gameplay doesn't feel too tedious. However the Devs are really nerf happy with the weapons, and sometimes that really gets to some people. I don't mind it too much but there definitely are times it stings me. I'm getting really fed up with all the crashes and disconnects going on.

Also, there was a recent incident where a certain chunk of the community got someone doxxed and made them lose their job. As a result. I have chosen to uninstall the game, and will not be supporting it any further.


Sometimes the game is buggy as hell, and it's a real pain in the ass. Disconnects, Crashes, and more. All at the worst possible time as well. Recently the game has just been unplayable. I keep having crashes and extreme lag in servers since the new update.

By the way, the DLC is really not worth the price if you ask me. If you're interested in this game, you should pass on the DLC until there's a sale.

Lately, there has been a patch to greatly reduce the PC file size, and that's been a very good change. I just hope they keep improving.

I never had an Xbox so this is my first experience with the Halo games, except for playing Reach with a friend who had an Xbox.

I'd recommend this collection on sale, getting all these games for $10 is a pretty good deal. I haven't tried the multiplayer, and I'm not sure if I will, but the campaigns are pretty nice so far. I may update this review with an individual review of each game (in release order)

My one complaint so far is for some reason the game keeps freezing my PC. I've tried many different fixes but none of them seem to work at all.

Halo: Combat Evolved 7/10

It's alright, a bit difficult in places (Looking at you, Truth and Reconciliation) but alright. It's also a bit easy to get lost, a good tip is just to follow where the enemies are. The Shotgun is very fun to use, packs a nice punch to enemies. The Assault Rifle... not as much.

The story is a bit slow at the start, but after a certain mission things start to pick up and the story gets more exciting. The ending was alright, with a Metroidesque escape sequence from an exploding ship

Halo 2 9/10

Much better than the original, faster shield recharging, a more interesting story that takes place on two sides, weapons are a bit different from Halo: CE, like the assault rifle being Semi-Auto now but still not too shabby

Halo 3 10/10

The story for this one was an absolute banger, haven't tried multiplayer yet but the campaign was very engaging and impactful.
