Hollow Knight is an incredibly good Metroidvania game. I'd put it up there with Zero Mission and Metroid Prime as my favorites in the genre.

The world in this game is incredible. It's very fun to explore, filled with secrets, and has a bunch of lore to it that is surprisingly interesting and fun to learn about. The first few hours can kind of be a slog due to the linear nature of the first couple of areas, but after you reach The City of Tears the game really opens up and stops holding your hand. This is a game you should go into knowing as little as possible and have fun finding things out for yourself.

My only complaint would have to be about some of the runs back to bosses. If you get stuck on a certain boss the worst part becomes running back to them over and over again. Thankfully none of the bosses in this game barring maybe the last were difficult enough to give me much trouble.

For the price, Hollow Knight is an absolute steal, and worth every penny. If you aim to do everything you'll get ~50 hours worth of content for only $20 (CDN), more if you decide to do challenge runs or replays, which the game encourages. I for one can certainly see myself coming back to Hollow Knight again in the future.

Overall I love Hollow Knight, and I still prefer it to Silksong after 100% completing that game too. Hollow Knight's focus on exploration and upgrades are more my style than Silksong's combat centric gameplay. Also, I prefer the story and world building present here. Hallownest is a wonder to explore, and I love learning about it's history. If you're at all interested in the game give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

So far I'm impressed by the quality of this game. Doesn't seem too P2W either but only time will tell with that.

Edit: It seems like Sega / Atlus are trying to give global less free rewards and also limiting characters to their banner and not adding them to the general pool after. This version should get equal treatment with the other servers.

It's pretty fun but also unbalanced. Better than Overwatch, worse than TF2.

The definitive Persona 3 experience. Game is perfect in most aspects. My only complaint is that it can be far too easy. I played on hard expecting it to be difficult like the FES version but it was extremely easy and the game locked me out of turning the difficulty up to merciless.

I'm only 4 hours in as of writing, but I have absolutely loved my time with the game so far. Every aspect of the game has been awesome and I'm greatly looking forward to playing more.

Edit: A very well made RPG, but I think it falls short of Persona 5 Royal's greatness.

Worse than the original in almost every way. Far too many enemies, the game is way too long, and Mary / Maria's voice actor ruined the letter read at the end. No real reason to play this instead of the original.

Foken great

I have tried playing through this game 3-4 times and every time I end up quitting 1/3rd in. One of the worst RPGs I've had the displeasure of playing.

The story gets sidetracked into what feels like filler content every few steps. There is almost no progress towards your goal at all, instead you must help a lonely mermaid find love, or a prince scam his people into thinking he's better than he is. These plot lines last a long time and I did not enjoy any of them. Every time one was over and I thought we'd finally make progress on the plot, some other dumb side story shows up.

The music is terrible. This is one of if not the worst OSTs I've heard in a game. Every single track grates on my ears and there is no variety. The Definitive Edition redid the soundtrack orchestrally instead of MIDI, but that does not save the compositions. Having played both versions, Definitive is only very slightly better.

Usually I'm a big fan of turn based games but this is not a good one. It's the absolute most basic Final Fantasy I combat system. There is no ATB, so there is no threat. If you're at all good at RPGs you will fly through this one.

The only two things I was enjoying during my playthroughs were the voice acting, and the art style. It's a pretty game, although downgraded from the base edition to fit on switch. On top of that all of the different accents for the characters were fun.

Overall probably my least favorite RPG I've played, at least in recent memory. Won't be touching Dragon Quest for a while.

Sonic Origins is a decent way to play the classic Sonic games. If it weren't for the drop dash being included I would likely use other methods though.

The collection has some annoying bugs that I hope are fixed soon. Unreachable giant rings in Sonic 3, Tails not controlling properly, and some weird collision in Sonic 2 are the most outstanding to me.

The missions are fun but there aren't nearly enough of them. I was done all of them in no time flat. S ranks are easy for most of them as well. Sometimes I would finish with 30 or more seconds left for the S rank.

If you've never played the classic Sonic games then this is definitely worth a play. Just make sure you wait for a sale as the game is fairly overpriced for these games that have been rereleased so many times. Better yet, just buy Mania.
