I've played every Mafia game they've released and I have to say this is the worst variant that's come out. The game looks amazing but the story comes off mediocre and empty (at least up until the end). It felt more of a rollercoaster that you get dragged through while only playing 4 different mini-games.

1) Drive the car - You get forced into a chase or rally, driving one the worst cars/ car controls Ive ever had to deal with. I nearly quit the game on that alone.
2) Rogue Sneak - You slowly slink around a small "puzzle" game, killing enemies and randomly throwing objects. If you dont do well, you shoot generico weapons.
3) Knife fight - A flat and empty reaction game where you dancing around in a circle, cut usually into 3 parts and it all ends roughly the same and all initiated roughly the same way. Usually always on the big baddie of that moment.
4) Rollercoaster - You essentially get lead around on a leash as you are narrated some story and you aren't allowed to go out and explore. I waited for so long to just go out and do my own thing but you start to walk away and they force you back.

I was so very excited to play and looked forward to deep diving into this story and world after a terrible work week but, it was so bad and made things worse that I ended up downloading Battlefield 6 and playing that. I eventually went back to beat it and five it another chance but I just couldn't wait for the obvious ending to come along. I will HIGHLY judge and wait to buy the next one if it comes out. I honestly would ask for my money back, I really didnt enjoy that...

Ive been playing this game essentially from release and I will tell you, its no longer the same game. For better or for worse, I always come back to it and still suggest those who enjoy FPS and extraction shooters with a dark, Louisiana themed game, give this a go. If you dont like dealing with a company barely holding on and slowly become COD where they focus more on selling skins than keeping the game fresh and updated, than avoid this... haha
