You queue for CASUAL. I remember QUICKPLAY.
You complain about HITREG. I remember WHEN THE GAME RAN ON HOPES AND 56K MODEMS.
You fear the BOTS. I remember when the only bots were HARMLESS and NAMED "xX_14♥♥♥♥♥♥_SLAYER88_Xx."

When TF2 finally CRUMBLES into DUST, I will be there—shoveling COSMETICS into my INVENTORY like a GREEDY GOBLIN

There was a MOMENT—ONE WEAK, PATHETIC MOMENT—when I almost LEFT. I unboxed my SOUL, stared into the ABYSS, and said "♥♥♥♥ it." I gave my UNUSUALS to RANDOMS. My TERROR WATTS, my MIAMI NIGHTS, my GOD-TIER COSMETICS—handed out like LOOT CRATES to NO-NAMES who don’t even LOG IN anymore. They probably SCRAPPED THEM. They probably SOLD THEM FOR POCKET CHANGE. They are GONE.
And yet—I RETURNED. Like a DOG to its OWN VOMIT. Like a PYRO to a CHOKEPOINT.
