The strongest entry in the Mount & Blade series so far, Warband is a great blend of combat, politics, and strategy. With a large open map to explore and the ability to raise your own personalized army, the game provides a lot of freedom in how you approach it. Also of special note is the Napoleonic Warfare expansion, a true to time period simulation of Napoleonic era warfare with the ability for large scale battles across sprawling maps.
