Even with the slow updates and relative lack of content, what's there is still worthy of your attention. Between multiplayer that provides a reasonable challenge if you're not prepared, to a single-player level that is as scary as Amnesia, you could easily find something to do here.

If there was a better package of Duke out there, I sure as hell don't see it. This is as good as Duke Nukem 3d can get. All three expansion packs, plus Steam Workshop support guarantees that this'll be a fun time.

Good for the nostalgia, too.

A very low cost of entry, with a case of easy to learn, hard to master systematics in place.

Very good for players who aren't looking for shooters that feel far too samey after several playthroughs.

Only major gripe is the level of squeakers on the servers, which has risen considerably as of late.
