First, this games strength lies in the match engine. Its a huge upgrade from previous years. The in and out of posession addition to tactics is great. I would also like to add that the transfer room (in-out) is quite nice as well.

Now, those are all positives in my book. But i can not get my head around the change of the ui. Its not like i hate it, but im not enjoying it. I wouldve liked the option to change between a more spreadsheet like ui and the current ui. The new UI is extremely click heavy. Some things are quite easy to find and you will get the hang of it eventually, but it feels more like an arcade/mobile game.

There are multiple things missing form the game and wrong with the game, but as a diehard FM enjoyer, i will play it regardless. However, if SI dont change the future games, away from the current UI i can see a lot of people leaving the game and never coming back. I will look at this game and expect a lot of future updates. I expected a transitional phase for the franchise, and i will continue playing it. If this is going to be your first game, or if you play it on console you might enjoy it more than us who have played the previous games.

I dont know if i would recommend it until there have been multiple updates, but ill be here playing the game throughout all of them for sure.

As a norwegian fisher myself, i find it difficult to believe they didnt add any of the other saltwater species we have. And focused solely on Salmon, as part of the reserve seems to be saltwater (although isnt)... The map looks stunning, but for 12.99$ it just isnt really worth it. This map could be so much better than it already is, if there just was saltwater :) Maybe in the future i guess.

One thing id like to add though, is that a lot of the "typical" norwegian things are captured on the map. So thats great to see.
