Great concept

but honestly, they need to cut the meta way down, such as increasing muzzle rise when hip firing LMGs and make LMGs hip fire only unless they are deployed. because shoulder firing most LMGs with no muzzle rise is broken.

if you wish to get your daily dose of rage inducing games with players that can one tap you with with a body shot from a SMG or go full burr with a mg42 on the run or get camped into oblivion. then be my guest.

Planes fly like garbage and you don't even have a bomb sight which requires you to hold shift to free look at your ground target before getting rammed by another plane because you still get a kill from performing a kamakaize on another player.

tanks can get stuck on simple obsticals and have zero turn radius, not to mention it's very easy to get flanked by some douche driving a mcjeep along the border of the map just to shove an AT nade into your engine or get rocket spammed by one dude with a launcher.

outrageus prices that force you to either slap the game with a credit card (which we all know majority of the player base has) or spend an eternity in one stacked match after another to grind for bogus amounts of pocket change of cash to just barely buy the next gun or mod to give yourself a little more speck of a hope that you can at least win one match.

The War game mode is either rigged or the meta is so strong for one faction or another that they can just steam roll the other two for days on end. because, well, the guns are not balanced. Possible a player cap per faction would at least level it out some.

overall, this game could be better, but, in it's current state, it'll clap a guy's good mood harder than Tarkov or Call of duty.

to the devs, you suck and actually fix your borken game
to new players still wanting to give this a try, good luck.

The one game that makes you go code brown in your chair when encountering another player!

by this posting i haven't put much time into the game but this game is VERY CHALLENGING when playing alone against teams of two or three. anyway, let me organize:

the good Stuff:

sound:
The most important factor that coats this game in gold! when a game makes you listen and tells you to use your headphones, you better obey as sound displacement plays a big part of either making a run for it or preparing to get the drop on another hunter. as well pin point where other monsters are.

stepping on cans, glass, bumping into chains or other objects really make a lot of noise, going through water, brush, stepping on wood. it all has it's own sound that not only at times catches the attention of monsters but hunters as well.

Coming from playing games that shooting guns is no big deal, shooting a gun in this game IS A BIG DEAL, and I find my self running like hell after shooting a monster with a loud rifle or pistol, stealth based weapons are a must!

gameplay:
taking place in the late 19th century is no doubt the best time period to make a game like this. its bounty hunting done right actually. Unlike in most games or in other forms of western lore, bounty hunting can be a cut throat gig when multiple hunters are barreling down on the same target. So, no surprise most players get the battle royal vibe when playing against others.

The open world setting plays very well into this game style because it grants players a chance to roam the map to either chase after the objective, kill a bunch of monsters and/or hunt down hunters that give a big chunk of XP after killing them.

the option to extract at anytime really is helpful for players, like my self, that can't make the push to collect the bounty on their own, sometimes it's better to knock out a few monsters, collect a clue or two then bug out before some posse ganks you for the 750 xp. (i'll get back to this in a bit)

the first 10 blood line ranks are very forgiving since you can die easily in the game and losing hunters this early would really put the hurt on a player. thankfully there is the quick play mode to gain, or attempt to gain, a free hunter that comes with gear salvaged during quickplay.

the period weapons are plentiful and the devs really touched basis with a lot of guns that are pratical of the time and play their own style when using them. Which thankfully, the HUD has the ammo counter on screen to visually keep track of what you got left in your weapon as most would say, make every shot count for reloading in a gun fight most of the time spells death for you.

Being able to level up and customize your hunters blends well with the rest of the game and apparently, any items collected during a bounty hunt will stay on your hunter when you extract. Being able to earn a little bit of xp and coin for doing smaller things in a hunt or in quickplay also help players that are not use to the game yet.

Now, sadly, the bad stuff:

Gameplay:
on the flip side of everything above, if it weren't for the newbie protection you get for your first 10 blood ranks, you are completly screwed for this game does not pull punches for all players that try to hunt a bounty or quickplay

Most players I've encountered are mostly just out for the 750 xp per hunter kill so players can level their hunters faster. on the chance you take'em out, more often than not, that player just lost a guy they worked hard on and vice versea.

as mentioned, sound plays a big part and hearing gun shots can either be someone fighting monsters or trying to bait a player towards them so they can get a free kill (sorry but not sorry for exposing this).

The weird part of the intesnity of this game is also it's greatist draw back, while most of the monsters are not really scary, it's the other players that are terrifying when running into them randomly out in the field. with no usual HUD markers to tell where you are getting shot at from or where they are after seeing them. you got no choice to either fight to the death or run for it, which even then is a bad idea for most players would just hunt you down for the easy xp.

I under stand the risk-reward mechanic and all, but at times Its just plain difficult to advance on even the first clue with out fearing that some schmuck is going to one click you from the roof of the building you are trying to get to and/or an immolator, or something, is going to magically appear close by and run you down in a heart beat.

not only do you have to worry about the special infected roaming around but also the other players who are more than happy to wait for you to make a single slip up before ending your newbish exsistance for free gear and xp

Overall:
This game is one of the few titles that are made to be challenging and at times unforgiving for many.

Yet, it does get easy the more you play, however, I think there are a few things that are lacking that maybe should be considered for future updates.
like maybe a pure solo mode that only gives a fraction of xp and coin earned for the whole mission
a perk that grants players a single chance to "cheat death" when killed by another hunter.

I think once a group of two or three experinced hunters enters the field, it's normally game over for some of us that can't get a random partner or have trouble using what equipment they got playing solo. I keep gearing my self for solo but never can I seem to barely get one kill before being instantly domed by another player.

I also think 750 xp for killing a hunter is maybe a bit big of an incentive to just "kill for points" instead of actually finshing the hunt.

Tricks and such I observed (again sorry, but not sorry):

Experinced hunters would wait for other hunters to make noise before tracking them down, on the other hand they would make noise themselves to bait hunters towards them for the kill.
they also seem to wait for someone to start collecting clues to pin point where the bounty is so they can bounty steal after waxing the unlucky hunter.
in one instance, I discovered that bounty camping is a thing, as I got one clicked by a hunter sitting on top of the barn a bounty was hiding in way before the bounty was avalible to collect.

as with any online game that is PVP heavy, A**holes are everywhere and you just gotta be a bigger A**hole to win the game.
