for a f2p game it is fine.
+ the concept of the AI that produces sounds that can be interpreted as human like steps
+ possibility to spawn as AI lookalikes, fun idea
+ map variety
+ crispy sounds

~ repetetive experience
~ the market and money aspects artificially try to implement variety that is not real variety. You can use cheaper or very expensive gear but that does not really change the experience itself. It rather feels like another way to implement some sort of MMR element - but a not an element that feels "intuitive"
~ unnecessarily overloaded UI with too many sublevels that could be reduced easily
~ you are forced to spend a lot of time in the UI/market/preparing. That can be okay for people who feel like this was a part of the gameplay experience they were looking for. But if you just want a gameplay that is focusing on the real experience in PvPvE actions, this might feel a little bit weird.
~ taking down players by headshots or by hitting specific parts of their body more often makes them die instead of just getting downed. That brings realism into the game but on the other side it does not really feel that great if you play with friends because you will have to wait until the match is over or until they die as well. For random teams this will not be a big deal. But this feature of realism is not really taking into account that people want to play together.

- The biggest downside, imo:
The sound is terrible, though. Other games help people really locate the origin of the sound itself if they want to add sound as a very important key aspect into the gameplay experience. This game only knows different degrees of loud or silent sounds...but really locating the sounds’ origins in a 3d map often feels misleading. It does not have to be perfect but you should not be forced to make wild guesses only by map knowledge. When a sound feels like it comes from the right, the sound should not make you look to the left. When you "face" the sound, the source of the sound in fact should not come from behind.

After almost 3000h in this game, I finally think that it might be time for a review.

Hunt went through a lot of changes and not every patch was a real banger. Experienced hunters know that Crytek had some issues in the last months but they fixed a lot.

Yes, we had times with a lot of bugs.
Yes, we had really big performance issues after the big 2.0 re-release.
Yes, the UI changes were terrible. A lot has been fixed even though it is still not great.
Yes, Crytek often needs way too much time until fixing and patching things.

BUT let's face the good stuff.
With the latest patch and the Post Malone circus update, Crytek did a really good job. A lot has been fixed, Trade killing is less of a problem. The changes to custom ammo are healthy for balancing the game. New traits and unique event mechanics have been added. The circus concept fits suprisingly well. The new map that came with the 2.0 update is the most beautiful map they have ever made.

I really think and hope Hunt Showdown is finally back on track and Crytek might finally treat their game like the true gem that it really is! <3

Recommend this game that is not at all inspired by some designs you know from big MOBA games ... :p

Pros:
+ free to play
+ rewards and progress by games played
+ in game voice chat is clean
+ aesthetics of the characters and champions
+ great character ability designs

cons:
- balancing does not seem to be well done in some cases (some characters with too much range AND disengage, tanks being not really tanky enough to be called tanks)

neutral:
~ map design: beautiful but the idea of flying around from island to island does not feel good or really bad.

I really enjoy Dracula. He is a very fun killer. I enjoy all his forms giving him some oppertunities. Since map designs are not always very well designed in DbD, Killers need to be able to make use of their abilities to play certain scenarios. A well rounded and not too oppressive killer. thanks !

I really wanted to like this game but I can't.

It feels far from finished and the "early access" state is no excuse for experiencing this empty, soulless RTS Game. Many players are left disappointed because they hoped to see something that is close to Warcraft III and Starcraft II. It feels like the Devs made something up without even trying seriously...

I was leading hard. Then the match ended all of a sudden and I landed in the main menu. Afterwards I realised that the game does not have a serious reconnect function - or at least the game did just kill the match for all the players, since my mate I was playing with landed in the main menu as well.
Because I had the match of my life, I feel very sad now. #sadface

This is why I need to give a thump down.

PS: F*ck racism!

The Game itself seems to be a solid one because of its concept.
The guys behind dbd finally made a way faster game - Deathgarden. The character of the game is the same. You got to fight as a team vs a hunter who really wants all to be killed. As a Runner you have to work together as a team and communicate as good as posible by usuing the voice chat... OR what is very comfortable as well: use your arrows and your q button for communicating your next likely action.

Some people reported issues related to graphics and performance. I cannot confirm that, to be honest. Deathgarden runs totally fine with my gaming laptop. yes. a laptop with a gtx970m (3GB) and 8GB Ram. Some do criticize the visual quality in general. I do understand that by a certain level. The visual quality is not something that can be compared with a AAA title. But since this one is no tripple A, it is totally fine.

When you start the game, you will feel a little helpless. You do not have any idea about strategy in this game. You got to learn it. This is the main issue if you want to say so. Here is why.

There are 2 modes but at the moment you cannot choce which one will be played.
1. Capture the points. This is the easier mode as a runner but that does not mean that you will have no problem to win. Since this is a very team based game, it will be hard if your mates do not play together with you but rather 1 for 1 vs the Hunter. That style wont work - never. But if you grap your upgrades together (!! you can collect the same thing if you stand next to it), you will be able to get early upgrades on your special arrows to compete with the Hunter.

2. Gather keys. This seems to be the harder mode since you are visable when you grab a key. This makes it way harder to win. Teamplay is even more important now. But since people already struggle understanding the first mode, the second mode might be too hard and make people frustrated too fast. This is why some negative reviews appear, I assume.

Other negative reviews depend on the opinion that the game does not have any value to be played more often. I question that. Maybe they rather dont like the genre of asymmetrical multiplayer games.

All in all I would recommend that game BUT...
- there should be a way to chose the modes.
- the price for an indie game is way too big since it is early access. It should be more affordable like 15-20 bugs (max). Otherwise creating and establishing a playerbase might be harder for a game that needs a lot of practise and teamplay.

Als F2P-Shooter ist Black Squad völlig in ordnung und macht soweit auch Spaß.
Man kann gespannt sein, welche Fortschritte das Spiel machen wird, denn es ist noch nicht lange öffentlich zugänglich. Auffällig ist aber, dass die Maps teilweise etwas wenig balanciert sind. Manche Karten erwecken sehr stark den Eindruck, dass eine Seite offensichtliche Vorteile genießt. Auch das Fehlen eines Report-Systems, um gegen Beleidigungen oder Hacker vorzugehen, fehtl bislang.
Dennoch bringt Black Squad eine gelungene Basis für einen F2P-Shooter mit sich.

Es ist wohl das aktuell schönste und interessanteste Survival Game in dieser Dimeson. Es macht ungeheuer Freude, sich einfach nur schon diese wundervoll designte Welt anzusehen. Hier und da mag es zwar meiner Meinung nach Balancing-Probleme geben, was die Saurier betrifft, aber man kommt darüber hinweg, wenn man weiß, dass irgendwelche Stämme bereits den einen oder andere Giganoto haben, der wirklich alles und jeden einreißen und umlegen kann. Ansonsten liebe ich es nach wie vor.
