I LOVE THIS GAME! I really REALLY hate that cant recommend the game :(

Artwork is good (though the heads on the characters are a little small), I like the construction plan stages that are involved in setting things up. The logical balance on how things are required, and you could find yourself playing for hours just to get the right balance of how to build a village alone. There are a lot of interesting creatures to fight as well and the game stays interesting in that manner.

My real issue with this game is the amount of micromanagement that is required to get the villagers to be useful instead of a burden. Initially it was fiddly to get them to work for you and now the villagers have been broken up into tiers that have their own demands on food requirements. You end up spending more time trying to appease your workers than growing the village and protecting it from constant raids.

Oh and for goodness sakes, fix the wall issue. If you want these villagers to feel protected in a sealed wall circle, make it possible for a wall to be filled with a single post or something so we can meet that need. the two sizes are just not cutting it.

I still like the game, but with the dietary requirements to keep villagers from taking off on you because you dont have their needs met really makes me just not want to launch the game.

I just cant recommend it at this time. I wish I could.

Doom/W40k is the perfect mix. The creators of this game really made it integrate so well; I would have liked to have seen a few more interesting weapons and monsters to fight, but it could totally be that Ive only scratched the surface of the game at the moment.

There were a few times where I got hopelessly lost - that navigational button is essential. Fun game for what I paid for it :)

I've played a lot of simulators like these, unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that this falls under the more boring of them. Its just bland, same repetition, and lacking any real style. Honestly it felt like most of the assets in the game were purchased from the Unreal store and slapped in, and a lot of the game play felt uninspired.

I tried really hard to get to the end of this game as I try to be complete games I start - this one beat me. There were elements to it that I found had some creativity to it - but by station four that creativity was lost and they phoned it in.

For the price i bought this game, its pretty good in production - and normally I would give it a thumbs up but there are two problems with the game;

1. there's no action queue at all - which severely limits the game play. This game is pretty intuitive on its interaction, but the fact you have to try to do actions (most that require a chain of actions) for two characters between three floors makes it pretty irritating, dropping its score.

2. The "supply" is pretty heavily affected by the issue of the queue; If you are busy trying to keep the kitchen going, a person waiting to be taken care of in the tailors will leave, which means no supply to keep the kitchen going, and your rep is destroyed....all because of the queue. Even then, you just dont get enough meat to satiate the customer base you get - and that's just with two tables.

3. The overacting in the female voice actor is a little grating. That's a nit pick in comparison to the other issues.

Unless they provide a queue in the future, I cant give it a thumbs up. Sorry.

There are some elements from the original boardgame which Im not a fan of, I'll say that but move on to the video game pros and cons:

Pros:
Overall Id say its worth buying. I got it on sale but the price point before the sale is pretty spot on for the quality of the game build overall.
The art is good, the game seems to be faithful to the board game itself in its look and feel, the voice over and audio is great (probably its greatest strength), the animations are overall great, the screens between world, city, and shops are well done, I really enjoy the storyboard images for slides.

Cons:
The RNG for combat itself.....can leave something to be desired. Some of it feels like railroading in some aspects. If the game wants to make things difficult for you, it deals this out to you mercilessly.

When you loot an item, it cuts off the name and description for some reason, and you have to wait to actually get the item (sometimes after a mission) to see what it does. It would be nice if it were always available even during the mission that you picked it up on. I understand if the developers or the game was not allowing it to be bound during that adventure, but being able to look at the shiny you acquired is always nice.

After a dungeon in multiplayer, you can find yourself just hanging waiting to come back to the world screen. The way we dealt with it was to disconnect the player and have them reconnect to the game. This shouldn't be necessary. EDIT: As of our last five to six games this hasn't happened, so it may be fixed. Ill leave this here for now to at least keep the record.

There's no mention in the tutorial how the area affect templates are situated, and during playing Cragheart I had to learn that you can rotate them after we did a couple missions. When you are trying to rotate the radials, they are hard to see on the map...maybe if they put like a colored border around which hexes are affected that would help a lot.

There's a ranged burn card that lets you pick multiple targets, but for some reason radius range attacks don't have that option to attack multiple times with that card. Maybe it has some sort of issue with it but I cant say - pick a whole different target and have overlapping radius affects.


Summary:
There are a few issues and bugs I don't particularly like with the game, but for the money you pay for it and the entertainment that comes from the game alone, its a worthwhile purchase.

Ive really enjoyed this game. I honestly didnt expect it to be as entertaining as it is. Its graphics are very simple but the system is addicting. Cant wait for them to launch multiplayer lol.

I played this for free during the free weekend over 5/19/2025 and have played the first House Flippers a while back.

This iteration is very smooth in comparison to the original. The artwork for the game in general is much higher in quality, there are a very few sticking points when you are trying to align objects, but for the most part is much more impressive than the previous outing. They really put the spit and polish on this one to make it shine.

I really think the game has gone the extra mile with a much more intuitive control system than I remember from before, and they seem to have added some mini games in how you assemble items and how you do different projects (painting and tile laying are not the same game, which adds needed variety to the game).

I wish I had more time to play it before the weekend was over, but Ill be definitely picking this one up when I can. Thanks for the free wekend tryout, it really got me interested in the game way more than before. :)

the art is great, and the ideas for the game are fun. Sometimes a clicker like this could be relaxing and its a great alternative to Diablo if you dont like Diablo games being too dark in the palette. Good little app.

I go back and forth with this game. I enjoyed it overall. I liked what it does well in making you eager to clear and rebuild and it doesn't make the effort to do this too much of a chore. the skill building was a good choice, and I liked the idea of using multiple tools, though I found the radial menu instead of assigning tools a number kinda odd - especially since you mostly use the hammer and shovel the majority of the time. Why not just assign them to a number and be done with it?

That said, there were a few issues with the physics. There's really no weight to any object, or any simulation of it I guess - so the wrecking ball flies around like a balloon on a string as an example. One time i was tearing down a building with the bulldozer and it ended up popping a wheelie as the front of the vehicle shot up.

Dont get me wrong, the scenarios are fun, the price is pretty good for what you get (especially during a sale). Its worth getting, but be expecting to see a couple odd physics choices.
