Ricky is definitely not behaving ethically, He is harming the company by being lazy. If he had just done the work before the deadline, he wouldn't be forced to cheat his job and his company. Ricky should have been on top of his work and morally speaking, he is not being a good employee nor human being. Someone else is going to take the fall for his mistake and it's not ethical. It was a hard deadline for a reason and he did not complete the trial balance. Now the vehicle's account owner will be affected, even if it's not that much.
