I honestly love this game. This game has brought me hours upon hours of fun, and I have made tons of friends during my time playing it. If you are a fan of The Elder Scrolls series, there is a lot of lore to be learned through this game. If you are a fan of MMO's, you'll definitely like the gameplay of this one. If you are used to fast paced MMO gameplay, this may be a little slow for you, but I'm sure the change of pace may actually be nice for you. The world and ability to explore the entirety of Tamriel is amazing and breathtaking in this installment. I can honestly give this four thumbs up if I had the extra hands.

This review is coming from the view of a casual player who doesn't have the time to practice to become god tier.
This game has brought me a lot of funny moments and good times with my friends, but let's be honest, the game is only good if you are with friends. When you're alone, this game literally only manages to sour your mood. This game feels as if it could only POSSIBLY be enjoyed by people who are extremely good at it. There is no saving grace for new players or players who don't ever get good (me). This game is alright as a senseless party game for sure. Don't fall into the trap of thinking this is a horror game.
Honestly, this game is a disgrace to the entire horror genre, the developers pour tons of money into acquiring the licenses to major horror names, then literally make those great killers look like idiots. The survivors don't do anything even close to what a human being would even THINK about doing if they were in this situation, and the killers are so easy to make look like they were just born a few hours ago.
I do appreciate the addition of Ash Williams to the game, he is a long loved character of mine and my favorite horror movie protagonist. He makes a great appearance here and his entry story is canonicly sound. Having him voice acted was a plus. He fits well in this game and he is one of its only saving graces.
This game has ruined Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface and soon, they're going to make Ghostface look like an idiot too. The canon of this game's story is also complete garbage. If these killers even were in this situation, they wouldn't dream of appeasing some entity, especially Myers. Myers is a legit psycho, there's NO reason he would kill for anyone but himself.
This game's community is also extremely toxic. The survivor mains think they deserve to escape because they complain and report anyone who plays in a way they don't like. And the killer mains tryhard like crazy against entry level survivors cause they are conditioned to think everyone is a jerk. There's no one in this game's community that wants to actually uplift the players of the other team to practice and become better, they literally just want the players from the other team to let them win.
I feel like this game's developers had a great idea when they made this game, but it was just executed so poorly. This is one of my favorite and least favorite games at the same time. Honestly, I just recommend you play Call of Duty, it will be much less anger inducing than this black hole of trash. Find a more relaxing game to play, and save yourself a trip to the hospital due to having an aneurysm.

I'm at a loss for words, absolute disgrace....
I was excited for Ghostface to come to the game. He's another one of my slasher movie favorites and I had decent expectations, although I kept my expectations low considering how good this game is.... Although what I got was far under what I hoped for. This killer is terrible, literally SOOO easy to loop.... FOR HOURS. The developers can tick another great movie that they want to crap on off their list. This is actually disgusting, I hope they are going to buff him to high hell, or else I am quitting this game for good. I wish there was a way to double dislike this game, and I wish there was a better horror slasher game to move onto(That isn't in a legal battle for rights). As a fan of horror and video games, this game has done every thing it can to push me away from the horror genre as a whole. Terrible....
To end on a good note.... The updates to Kate and Feng's long hair cosmetics are lovely. As a person who plays these two characters the most, I can appreciate that they were updated, they look great.

They just can't get it right. I've actually lost interest in this game, and I'm tired of wasting my time with it. I've finally uninstalled this game for the last time, and I may never come back. Freddy was supposed to be getting a buff this update, and he KIND OF did. Freddy himself is better, but the environment has been changed to benefit the survivors immensely. About a hundred pallets have been added to each map and the loops are even loopier than before. There's no point to playing survivor because it's too easy and there's no point to playing killer because the survivors will have only used about half the pallets on the map by the time all five gens have been completed. This game seems as though it will never be fixed. The developers seem to care much more about pushing content than actually making the game playable. I wish I could give this two thumbs down. To end on a positive note, like I always try to, I'm glad I decided to retire from this game.

So.... well played Behavior, you roped me back in with my favorite T.V. show. So they finally brought Stranger Things to Dead by Daylight. They brought my favorite character, Steve to the game, so there was no way I could refuse coming back to the game.
The update, sadly, is terrible. The servers are being crashed hard by the MASSIVE influx of players that understandably got roped to their doom by the promise of your favorite Stranger Things characters.
There are cosmetic changes that bring the quality of the graphics down. It's honestly hard to swallow that the developers update the game by making its quality worse. Like, wow, you're going the wrong way Behavior. Now is it fun to play as Steve from Stranger Things? Yes. Is it fun to play Dead by Daylight? You better believe it's not. This game must be barely managing to stay afloat. Honestly, I believe the only thing keeping this game alive is the constant flow of Licensed content. We got Ash from Evil Dead, then we got Ghostface, and now we got Stranger Things. Like, can you think of any original content? If you got writer's block I can help you with that....
So to end on a good note, I'll address the obvious great thing about the update. STRANGER THINGS!!! Who doesn't like that?
