The are ghosts you can outrun, there are ghosts you cant outrun. Sometimes you try and run and hit Ctrl instead and wind up teabagging your own death. 10/10

Great game for solo and co-op play, the entry level knowledge needed allows anyone to enjoy the game without needed to learn all of the activities etc.

The community has ruined the game. People either mic spam racial slurs or tryhard beam you across the map - It's a good game, but as always, people are the reason it's not a good experience.

But I keep coming back...

TL;DR - Great game with some quality features, needs a more active dev team.

So project zomboid is a game I, and many other friends have enjoyed a lot. I owned the game DRM-free for about a year before buying it on steam to join the multiplayer hype. A short lived adventure indeed.

Now the game itself is quite enjoyable. However, many flaws too. As well as a seemingly lifeless development team, pumping out the occasional new feature to quench a lasting thirst - nothing too substantial unfortunately. With a lot of members of the community wanting the same feature (NPCs) and a lack of responce from the development team, the numbers have started to dwindle. I, for one, have lost interest.

The gameplay has a lot of potential, and the features included provide a great experience. The slow gain of skills make for careful character planing in order to specialise in a few skills such as first aid, foraging and cooking, opposed to being a jack of all trades. This play style can help develop specific characters, creating a character who will forage for food and avoid combat in order to survive, moving house to house in order to keep off the radar can be a total different playstyle to somebody who creates a fortress of solitude and charges head on to defeat the horde single handed.
