New patch is a step forwards, many are upset that an early access game is changing. It's to be expected that changes are to happen, but many just want to keep the status quo, which was a runaway train of stat stacking.

TLDR: A free to play pay-to-win game that caters towards the wallet whales than the actual players, with constant pop ups and offers for premium currency that can allow others to ruin your game at a rapid pace.

To start off, Bytro does make enjoyable games and playing them constantly on and off since 2010 from Supremacy 1914 to Thirty Kingdoms, it has some great moments and systems, but all of these are overshadowed by the more than evident pay to win mechanics that are plastered into the game, ranging from resources, time skips and healing entire armies after a battle without any delay nor limit.

These things are -incredibly- powerful in what is a 24-hour real time game, where the actual days take 24 hours, so a building that could take a day and a half to build?

No worries! Just spend 4.49 GBP for 11,000 Gold and you can easily finish it in under thirty seconds at the cost of 950 Gold per 12 hour skip with 8,150 Gold to spare which you can then use to skip the production time for troops(950 Gold per 12 hours too!) you can then produce from that building, thereby spawning an army in mere minutes.

I can understand that they probably make a killing off of those who purchase large amounts, but those who wish to not involve themselves in the aspect of buying premium currency seem to be thrown to the off side, even to the point where even complaining about the use of people using premium currency is against the ToS and words such as "gold(name of the currency) spam" are censored.

I'm sure Bytro would have a loyal player base who would pay a monthly subscription to play this game to avoid the use of goldmark in certain matches as the game is enjoyable without it, but their greed over the past few years has truly shown, to the point where I feel they've lost the magic they once had as a smaller company when Supremacy 1914 only started to grow.

As mentioned before, I would and many others would pay a monthly subscription if implemented for matches without the premium currency being available for use and would likely retain a lot more of the player base that has left due to the rampant advertisement and use of premium currency in almost all games.

Sadly though, my opinion of this game is that you should not invest your time in it, as what time you will invest is than more likely going to end up being destroyed by a premium currency purchasing player, no matter how much premium currency you can earn via watching ads daily.

The development team is ACTUALLY listening unlike other early access games, it's a work in progress but with constant updates and balancing being implemented across the board, it's a worth while game to invest in, more so as more maps are released.

I downloaded this just to leave this review as I've played for many hours upon the browser version, and from a long time player of Bytro games, players beware!

It's the same pathetic pay to win method they've been running since 2010, the game has some interesting aspects but the biggest downside and I'd say, tragically so is the pay to win methods that have been around in all of Bytro's games since Supremacy 1914.

If someone is desperate enough, they can pay for an in-game currency that gives them a direct advantage over others to the point where you can lose a war entirely just by someone using their credit card. Skill doesn't matter in a game like this where someone can enter their credit card details and create an army of rockets, fully teched in little more than ten minutes, no less is it an issue in the late gate than it is the early game with people using goldmark to bring out whole armies in the first day of a map.

The most funniest thing I found out of my experience of playing this game for countless years is that now, you cannot even speak out against people using the in-game currency.

If you don't believe me, try writing "goldmark spam" in the chat, you'll find it a censored word. To me, that was the final straw, as this game will never redeem itself as it once was, it's a cash cow now for Bytro and I can only hope you see through it and refuse to download this disgrace of a game and even support the disgusting company behind it.

The developers seem to have failed yet again to get the early game in check, HE rushing is still a boring meta and when I discuss it with new players as they state "I thought this game would be better than this" when facing against it, I then realise how insanely out of touch the developers are.

Developers are still utterly out of touch with the community.

It's fun mindless combat, but the balancing is something that the developers after many years, fail to deal with.

Nothing changed.

Unbalanced trash.

It's not worth your time or money when an array of new heroes come out with a moveset that totally outclass the previous generation of heroes.

Lack of communication by the development team is also a core issue, which they fail to time and time again to care about.
