I am sad that i am even writing this at this point, being a long term 40k/ tide game fan I enjoyed this game originally, I even preordered it and played in the beta but with the recent changes in the game i cannot reconmend this game. the difficulty curb has grown too steep and the "remastered" perk trees were poorly thought out, as someone who used to play matches around heresey threat difficulty because they were still a challenge but fun it now feels like a chore to even attempt them, even malace difficulty is becoming difficult and not fun anymore.

I have played with all the classes (excluding hive scum because i do not see any way in the lore for them to actually be allowed at this point to be working allongside Arbities) and i liked the feel of each of them with my favroute being Psyker. but now i feel like they are nerfing the original classess just so people will buy the new stuff. with the addition of an out of place stamana/dodge bar that i don't think was needed at all (you pretty much got a feel for how each class dodges by playing them) and feels like it nerfed dodgeing (my psyker and Commisar/veteran build required me to dodge a lot but now they are taking hits due to that dammned meter) and you can't even turn it off in settings, it just sits right in the middle of your screen which infuriates me to all hell.

They also said that the perk tree reworks were done to lower the chance of people metabuilding their classess but all it has done is make metabuilding worse, i felt the original perk trees actually allowed for more playstyles and types of builds (such as my shouty commisar build on my Veteran, or my flamethrower zelot build) and didn't have any supposed dead-end nodes, removing a lot of the small nodes has screwed over my psyker too, a lot of the small nodes helped with heat dissipation and allowing me to get back into the fight faster but now i am seeing dead end nodes in the trees i mean one of the most useless ones i have ever seen is "One Motion" which supposedly increases weapon swap speed but i don't even notice it because you can cancel the swap animations for majority of weapons, then you hav perks like "crystalline Will" which are straight up broken for builds like mine, my build requires me to stay arround 100% perils and use "Venting Shriek" to quicly drop my perils, but "Crystalline Will" automatically applies the corruption damage that you would of taken when overloading; even when you cancel the overload with "Venting Shriek".

These are only a few of the issues i found in the overhaul and if i move onto the difficulty curb changes, they don't make sense to me, the original difficulties were fine, my thoughts on their supposed changes to Heresey threat and higher is that if they wanted the Moebian 6th to be the enemies of those difficuties, make them like unit commanders instead of buffing every Moebian unit at those difficultys. Before the change a scab mauler took one shot to the head from my commisar with his bolt pistol to take out, now it takes multiple clips and tagging him with my commisar's "Focus Target" ability. and don't get me started on the horde units; yes there is meant to be a lot of them but when you have to try an pick out specialist enemies and you can't even move because you are stuck trying to cleave your way through a horde, it becomes a chore.

In the end i have enjoyed my time with this game up to now but with the changes that they have done they have made the game more of a chore than fun, i'll probably just go back to the original vermintide games or even space marine 2 when it doesn't want to give me high ping in the middle of a match all of a sudden, i'll probably take another look at this game in 6 months - a year from now to see what they have changed but in the end i will not be supporting this game going forward and cannot reconmend it.
