This game is defo an interesting concept. I have played on a server where I have created an alliance of like 20+ players vs a zerg that controlled the whole map. We overtook it for ourselves and conquered everything. Now that 1.0 released i will give it a try hopefully its amazing! It contains resource gathering,base building, recruiting npcs, vehicles and more more. I also like the combination of PVP/PVE elements

Edit: Sadly the game has basically no updates and no new content. Thus I would only get it at the lowest of prices and play w friends. Shame it was an interesting concept.

Currently bugged AI + many other bugs. Not worth.

Now I do kinda dislike the new updates for the game. They are whatever and not exciting and actually feel worse and worse. The reason I do reccomend this game is due to the modding community. I have not played vanilla for some time. And i wont return to it.

But the modded 7D2D is so much fun. You have mods like darkness falls, undead legacy which will get updated to V1 soon. War3Zuk overhaul, Project Z, Tarkov in 7d2d and so many more overhauls that completely change the game.

These mods are the reason the game is worth it. If they didnt exist i would not reccomend the game. But they do. So if you pick this game up. Be sure to check out mods.

It is an amazing DLC. 100% get this!!!

Too early for EA. Needs baking for 5+ months give or take depending on the speed of development. Currently it feels more like an Alpha or a testing build. Not like Early Access. Now that said. I will say I did enjoy leveling. Give this game a few more months, and then it should feel way better. I do not reccomend anyone buying it unless you want to test the game and give feedback fully knowing it is more like a prototype right now. That you will help shape. If you want a somewhat half baked or almost baked game come back in 3-6 months. Should be miles ahead of where it is now content wise.

The game as a whole is amazing. So many mechancis, so many progression points, so many skills,classes everything. The game would be 10/10. Sadly it is a 7/10 due to the horrible companion system. I thanksfully got all the companions so i can ignore that system forever now or at least a really long time. But those that dont will feel stressed by it. If they decide to buy pet gems you will 99% likely get nothing or something horrible. Pity will likely screw you over and "Upgrade" giving you duplicates. So on and on. The trading system helped it a lot. But it still is horrible. Everything else is amazing and farmable as a F2P. (Gems included). Pet gems are the only thing you cannot F2p. So no trading for f2p with the exception of gifts. No way to get any tradable pets as a f2p. (I am not a f2p. I would consider myself in the middle ground i spent less than i would pay for a price of a game these days. But the pet gems in around 40 rolls gave me 0 good rolls. And my pity was a duplicate since it "upgraded" to a different companion a grade above.)

If you consider trying the game. Either ignore the companion system never spend for it. OR spend a little and engage in trading. The community is wonderful and amazing. They have helped me get all companions and enjoy the game fully. If lava makes the companions less tedius or adds f2p ways of farming pet gems. It will be a 10/10 review. Though it is 7/10 (upgraded it by 1 point due to the community helping combat the companion system burden.)

UPDATE 12/11/2025
Lava has nerfed Killroy the ground. Many people including me were spending gems weekly to scale their killroy faster which in turned meant you will eventually profit with gems as a free to play player. But just as i got to the tipping point where i profited even with paying gems for the reset to scale faster. Lava suddenly HARD CAPPED the amount of pachinko balls you can buy from killroy (Thus the amount of gems you can make.) Completly ruining the only stable and increasing source of gems for a f2p player...

An amazing idler. So many mechanics. 2244 Hours. Still didnt unlock like 40% of the content in the game.

My update 2: Tip To avoid crashes everytime u change your settings in game from keybinds to graphics to fps it will crash or it did for me To fix this issue Simply do all the changes in the game menu that way it wont crash and then join a world or make one. Just watchout if you have the same issues with crashes never change settings in game ! only in the menu.





I have so many hours on ark. All dlcs everything.
Now I bought this game just because its another ark like and i was searching for something fun and new to play.
Well this is not NEW. nothing is new not at all. Imagine you buy this you may get all the dlcs but they are not there now.
Do not buy. Wait for several months until it has at least some content. Also another joke when Ark survival evolved got released it took over a half a year for a new dlc to be released/announced. Here we are going to have a new dlc soon ? WHAT? They havent even caught up to the base game content. FOR THIS PRICE TAG? And take into account ark 2 releasing next year. Devs trying to milk us af.


Avoid Buying for a minimum of several more months as of the time i post this review. Trust me please.


In short: Ark ascended is an overpriced underwhelming reskin or just a port of ark with less content that is made just to milk the players for money nothing else. (they will add the dlcs later, but They arent here now and thats what matters...)
(It will likely be worth to buy half a year to a year from now when there is even more content than ark + all dlcs until then avoid at all cost)


Update: Decided to give it a try since some of the mods i like are partially added And got 5 crashes under 20 minutes and yeah nope I give up I would rather go play something else until this game is playable. Sorry not sorry

So the game was actually fun i enjoyed it a lot actually. Then the dev started adding paywalls/dlcs that was a bummer but i thought hey maybe he just needed some financial help it cant be that bad well he added more of them but that happens still isnt that bad ? But then i read the patch notes and the dev was posting Non professional sometimes borderline hate speech. Its fine if a dev makes a joke somewhere on their social media or smthing But not in the patch notes especially if its a topic that you know will hurt many people or well affect them the dev should learn how to be professional and this is the first time ever i give a bad review because of the Dev (even on factorio which is an amazing game but a few of the devs posted controversial stuff it wasnt in the patch notes it was on social media i dont judge that thats their life) but keep the patch notes clean from for example politics,hate speech and all of these dumb stuff. and then the dev started ranting all these bad reviews are from bots or something sigh- what a good game with potential in the hands of a bad person
