Been waiting 7 years for this. I love it. Not sure why some negative reviews feel the need to mention they are playing a beta. DLCs in elite: dangerous were allways meant to evolve over the year(s). Like horizons did. If you want the fully finished dlc, wait 1 year. Mean while, I'll be enjoying the hell out of it.

EDIT because some people are dense af:
Does this update need improvement? of course! but thats how elite dangerous expansions work. people comparing it to late horizons are not doing a fair comparisson. horizons started the exact same way. look how it is now. same thing will happen with odyssey. when you buy the dlc it is known it is in its early stages, its like at 10% of its full potential, more like a foundation. and i would say its a very solid one atm.
i'm still enjoying the hell out of odyssey and can't wait for future updates.
ALSO: funny how people not enjoying the update make everything in their power to make people who are enjoying it to not enjoy it. pretty much the "Stop having fun with something i hate" meme.
For those people, grow up please.
