They managed to ruin halo customization you cant recolor your spartan there's just different paint jobs, cosmetics are locked behind micro-transactions $20 for a single armor set $15 for warthog paint. The fact that all the cosmetics are even labeled as being "Rare" "Epic" or "Legendary" just makes the micro-transactions feel that much more predatory. Plus in multiplayer you have an AI companion who is incredibly annoying ends just being cringy commentary to the game or just repeating what the announcer says with slightly different words.
