Ingredients
3 ripe bananas (the browner, the better)
75 g (⅓ cup) melted butter
150 g (¾ cup) sugar
(you can use white sugar, brown sugar, or half-half)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch of salt
190 g (1½ cups) all-purpose flour
Optional add-ins:
Chocolate chips 🍫
Chopped walnuts or pecans 🌰
Cinnamon or nutmeg
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line it with baking paper.
Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
Add the melted butter and mix well.
Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
Mix in the baking soda and salt.
Add the flour and gently stir until just combined.
(Don’t overmix – that keeps it fluffy.)
Fold in any optional ingredients if you like.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and enjoy.
