Casting my mind back to days at school, circa 2007, I came across a Website advertising free games. Ichor was one such game. With its vivid graphics, mimicking visualisers from Windows Media player, I was instantly curious. What I had stumbled across, blew my mind in terms of what a game could be.

Utilising basic fluid dynamics, Ichor places you in a void, amongst a jet of colour. Several seconds afterwards, your first enemy appears; spreading its own, equally vivid jets, often creating a violent clash of colour. As you progress in score, you are challenged with more and more complex enemies, each with their own behaviour, and their own mechanics of colour spray.

This game has progressed several strides from the one which I played in my earlier years. A health bar, powerups and new effects, as well as important optimization for newer systems. I completely love this game, and even years later I can find fun in revisiting it.
