Persona 3 Reload Review {because I cannot publish it}
Persona 3 - A game that's well known for it's immersive, life-changing Story

[I'll try to keep this review as spoiler friendly free as possible, as for when they do come up, there will be a warning label so don't worry! This may contain light spoilers, however.]

I'd heard about this game before, countless time's from friends to family to basically everywhere. I'm not much of a video game person myself so when I first heard about it last year - little interest. But caving in and giving this game the benefit of the doubt was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's more than just a game, sure, there's some pretty epic fighting mechanics that I'll get into and some neat Easter eggs here and there; but what really drives me to this franchise is the journey, the connections, the development and drive that keeps each and every character in this game both relevant and fighting until the very end! Even for those who take interest in villains, I came to really understand and feel a sense of remorse for the one's in P3R.

Every character matters.
Most games tend to focus on the main protagonist or even some of the side characters the protag holds dear to, but this game's different in the sense where there's something to even some of the most minor characters that keeps you hooked onto them, for once a game feels a sense of realism in the fact it's not just about one person but the people around them, how they impact your life more than you truly realize. This game teaches you that the connections you make help shape you to become the person you are! Not in the sense that you don't control your own actions, but rather they drive you to make bigger leaps and a better person overall whether those friendships last in the end or not.

✧. ┊ Warning for incoming light spoilers.

Leaning more towards the combat part of the gameplay for those interested, genuinely peak! Not much goes on considering this game is mostly a point and click, but the builds, strategies, fusions, down to picking your favorite characters and making them work over biased is what makes the dark hour such an experience on its own! Presentation is flawless and where to even begin when it comes to the music? It's only something you can understand first-hand. Completely unmatched! I've never seen a game put so much time and visible care into a soundtrack for a game, most if not all the music is so breathtaking you've either heard about them outside from others, or it's something you listen to outside of the game itself.
Genuinely, that spectacular.

I won't go into the DLC episode much for those who can't or simply don't want to play it because spoilers and it's not really relevant to the main game itself but you should definitely play it if you can or want to know more about the story and Aigis in general! It's a really good DLC with so much more playtime which I can always come to appreciate; but if you can't, don't worry about it!

Aigis is a character who at first glance, just seemed like a silly, goofy little robot that's a lot scarier than you'd think...
And for most, that's still true and applies, but for sure she's so much more to me. As the story progressed I began to relate to her more than I realized, her drive to protect someone close to her, the love and strength that love provides. It's insane to me how much emotion this game manages to put into a machine that's considered ''emotionless'' by first impression, she definitely sits in my top 3 along with Mc (Makoto) and Fuuka!

I've never really cried or got overly emotional about a game before until now, I was told I'd cry playing this and I unfortunately walked out defeated. Persona 3 touches a place in your heart where in my opinion, no other game can. This game builds on Character stories that feeds you curiosity and drive you to go further into finishing all social stories just to witness each friend's chapter come to an end.
Some tales, presented as pretty funny and ludicrous. Beneath there's so much more to it though, it teaches you what it means to have a friend that will stay by your side and support you through even the roughest or craziest patches of your life, that's what it means to have someone who can be considered a friend. An Important one.

Persona has some of the most philosophical quotes that I truly believe I will carry and use with me to the grave. It's not something life can teach you on your own, but something you have to discover and accept to understand through years of battle and hardships yet this game teaches you it, all in 60 hours! It's information you know, but you've never truly processed properly or understood yourself until a character expresses it through painful experience.

It's a story that humanizes anybody who feels isolated from society.

You go on merciless, the gameplay is gut wrenching and intense; play on normal or peaceful, the story will captivate you and break whatever is left of your heart. A game could be recommended to both story rich, relaxed players, and ones who like to push their limits and aim for the top!

Really hits relatable spots for some of the simplest but most impactful parts of people's lives too, Makoto (MC) is displayed as a quiet, unsocial kid who doesn't take much interest for school or gets along with anybody, yet still manages to make so many social links (friends) despite that proving it not matter who you are, you can change! Then there's those who are recognized and popular amongst the school but has no idea how to even speak to people properly let alone a girl, one who wishes to be noticed more and be something of importance to prove his worth of living when the game teaches you that life does not need to be earned by achievements, but who you wish to cherish and protect. Stereotyped rich girl who never quite experienced the lives of others, the list goes on... There's enough character background for anybody to relate to at least one character whom they truly come to appreciate!

Going back to the OST/Music - even the lyrics on some of the music genuinely gave me shivers. Not something you'd notice rushing through the game or just playing it casually, but really understanding the lyrics and the meaning behind them is an experience of discovery. For me, something to relate to and give me comfort, for others it may be different but even simply linking them to their corresponding characters provides a whole other understanding that the story can't quite explain for itself.

The original is amazing, but this one takes the cake! I've yet to play the other Persona games, that's on my to do list. But this is without a doubt my favorite game regardless, nothing will ever top what I experienced those past 100 hours...♡
