Dirty Fox Games I know you're reading this steam review and posting it in your little dev chat saying "we got another one" but my God you best expect a strongly worded email about that ending. ooooo the way I fumed up and had steam blowing out my ears with a little whistle noise, like it was an old cartoon.

(Good stories make ppl feel strong emotions though you did great)

It feels like an actual continuation of the first game and the writing plus visuals have got better as the dev has settled more comfortably into writing for this series.

After this game is published but before Protogen 3, Dirty Fox Games really hits their stride in making gripping visual novels. The companion entry, My Protogen Engineer, and (especially) even Night Of Love are both really good reads. Actually good writing, a distinct(er) visual style.

They set up things in MPE and this entry that make me really excited to finish the third game, but if they had ended the series here it would still have been a satisfying enough conclusion.

The first entry in the Dirty Fox Games Protogen Cinematic Universe and let me just tell you, dear reader, it gets better. But you gotta read this one first it's pretty important.

It's a heterosexual romance novel where you play as a Human (ugh) who falls in with a Protogen (yay!), and stuff happens, and it's cute.

I appreciate the writing and visuals as works of art and not so much material to jork off to.

Unironically where can I stream the OST?

I am leaving a positive review of this game solely because it's a furry-made, NSFW visual novel - and those deserve praise in and of itself for merely existing, it's simply art.

The characters have unconventional body types and the black and white noir-like artstyle in some of the scenes is visually appealing. Has lesbian sex in it, so very awesome cool.

However,

The game's writing needs a lot of touch-ups grammatically and sentence flow wise. I understand that this is a somewhat interactable porno, but there are lots of missing commas and spelling errors. Hell, one of the very last sentences someone says is spelled wrong. Sam says "ficion writer"

The main rabbit girl is also confusing. In contrast to most things about the characters being explicitly stated or visually implied, I have no idea if Kylie is plural (multiple personalities) or if she binds her chest during the day and uses Kyle instead of Kylie? I have no idea what is being represented here and it feels like there's a lot of questions the writer makes the reader ask, then will never answer them.

There isn't a settings menu for the game to turn the music off or other sound adjustments, you just get what you get. I'm unsure if that's an engine problem; I assume this isn't made in Ren'py since making a settings menu in that engine is really quite easy.

You can experience this whole game in under the steam refund time window and, unless you really plan on rubbing one out to the scenes at some point, I would almost recommend you do that.

If the game had any way to:

- Change your crosshair
- Change target re-up time (I want to clear out the range before all the targets respawn)
- Add the ability to counter-strafe (trying just moves you in the 2nd direction input)
- Turn off the player model and just be a floating gun
- Have a sniper with a full screen scope and not one with a peripheral (see; AWP from csgo)

it would actually unironically be a good aim trainer.

game is good

kinda fun for a bit but once you hit the 3rd boss (v2?) it's an impossible game gatekept by 100 hours of aim trainers and professional quake experience. this is not a game for anyone other than people who are already great at first person movement shooters.

this game is about as old as the playstation 3 and it's still pretty good
