There are a lot of core features missing that were prevalent within the original battle nations game, specifically the trawler system, and all pvp functionality. However, its rumored that pvp and the guild system will return soon, but given that the depot/ trawler system isn't in the game, I wouldn't have high hopes. The game in all intents and purposes the exact same from when it was on the app store, with some missing assets of course, and for better or worse that also means the scummy nanopod system also returned in its entirety, although you are given some free ones for leveling and you eventually can slowly obtain them in the end game, the nanopod premium currency is back and is oppressive as ever, gatekeeping speicfic units and ability upgrades. However, this is the perfect game if you have job/life for you can just not use any nanopods and check back in for about 10-15 mins a day and claim your money/building upgrades or unit training, in essence the long build and training times are blessing for some and a curese for others lol.

Understand this before purchasing, one, this game is not a shooter, it is not tarkov, it is not rust, it is not hunt showdown. This game is an anti-shooter, which means shooting first is not the intended first response to every situation, which lead to the next point. Two, if you approach this game as you play every other shooter game, even tarkov, you will not have fun and will die, no ifs ands or buts. I recommend watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f55v7iOx9Ds and the series put together by fun dog studios themselves as well as Riloe's who had unadulterated access to the team as they were producing the game before the EA launch. These videos will get you a great understanding on what the game is, how its meant to be played and how it can be enjoyed.

EDIT: Personally, as I play more the more it feels similar to a stealth game where but every encounter is the 'all ghilled up' mission from call of duty, do I take them out or let them pass, every action or inaction has a consequence, and making the wrong one or three could end a run.However, the game is forgiving and still an enjoyable experience, there has not been one death where I have been mad at the game or disappointed rather its been the only game where when I die I don't feel cheated, rather I know what I did wrong and how to approach it better, and am able to laugh off certain deaths/encounters when its over.

After solving multiple freeze crashes that led me unable to play the game more than 35 minutes before having to shut down my computer completely to exit the game, the game itself is an enjoyable experience. The combat isn't difficult (except the spider boss before being inducted into ycorp, the arena is way too small and the camera angle screws you over 9/10 times its not fun and it was the only boss i had trouble with that i had to try multiple times, otherwise my only deaths were from hordes of enemies 20+ being on low health or having severely un-upgraded guns) and the story is decent, however there is one big whole in the story that I just can't get over, maybe two. The first is what the point was of going down the stackboss poone route of trying to be self sufficient and having freedom and rescuing your habbers to ultimately throwing that whole story progress away and start working with ycorp, its almost nonsensical and just a waste of air, and the whole time playing I was hoping that there would be a twist in which the lohabbers get their freedom and their own si or something in that regards but it was apparent that wasn't going to happen when you needed his help to get into stimtown, fundamentally the game could have done without it or shorten it even more, but regardless of that it was a waste of potential on a overarching story arc.

I like to write and writing reviews helps me to practice my skills so probably not worthy of your time reading as its just for my own enjoyment and memory
The second gripe with the story is the ending with the menshen gate which for some reason spewed lovecrafitian influence (maybe because of the disembodied tentacles) which was no where else in the game that I noticed, which in turn sums up the amalgamation of story direction. Does the story set up for sequal, yes. Does the ending have a twist, yes. However, metaphorically it was low hanging fruit, but it works for the universe the game immerses you in. The story ends almost similarly as it started, by centering around the idea of interstellar travel is costly and slow. For despite living in a world in which advanced ai's exist and readily accessible augmentations societal progress is offset by indentured workers, lack of public order, and a failing sociopolitical structure in a world of rampant corporatocracy, thus are all probable causes to the lack of instant interstellar travel.


Overall, I definitely recommend playing it, great game, also if playing co-op your game's story doesn't progress, only the hosts does so keep that in mind.
(had to add the program to the NVIDIA control panel as a recognized program and it was golden from there, no crashes or any bugs that weren't visual)

It reminds me of crossout and wreckfest set in 40k with barebones customization, especially considering personal expectations for customization would be along the lines of techterra(idr the name of the game) and crossout. Though the different preset vehicles within the game are still enjoyable with each having a unique playstyle and abilities that cater to said playstyle. Part of me wants to say they missed the mark not having a system for creating your own machine of war, but the other half enjoys the abilities and some what of a loose class system, Overall decent game considering its free to play, the only gripes i have with it are that certain achievements don't unlock as well as challenges don't track at times at all.

There's little something for everyone, very causal game that has no stress and rewards the players time for playing adequately, but is no means a 'grindy' game. There's tons of design choices that are I believe are inspired from quite of few games great features and incorporates it into the game that doesn't feel out of place or blatantly ripped off. (same can not be said about Enternaland feature)
Despite people in the reviews being suspect about the product files as well as claiming to be another cash grab similar to 'the day before'. The developers have been quick to address terms of service questions, suspicious files, and general community feed back, which is a telling sign that their intention is continue building upon the game. I hope more people give this game a chance, and enjoy it as much as I do.
