Another great game from this game studio!

It misses the mark for me, too different from typical Valve games, and I am not sure if I should like or hate the character I am playing.

There are tens of other single player mods for HL or HL2 that I would recommend in front of this one.

Surprisingly similar feel and movement to source engine games, the art style is also spot on to the Half-Life 2 series.

The only MINOR issues I noticed where:
- Janky movement at times, getting stuck on small items and ledges.
- Lack of any splatter/gore makes guns feel much less powerful compared to OG Half-life 2.
- Weapon switching and handling feels a bit off at times, e.g. aborting reloads is inconsistent, switching and selecting weapons sometimes also fires the weapon.
- Low-res fire textures which also have low FPS.

This game has surprisingly good gun feel. The combination of rogue like and fps works well, with a good compromise between hardcore and persistence in your main stash.

Great package of all the old Halo games, with and without new graphics. Coop support usually works fine as well, some occasional crashes can occur.

Best combo of FPS and rogue-like that I ever played!
Looking forward to the full game.

Simply a great game without any obvious pay-to-win or monetization mechanics that plague so many other games these days.
Also great that the developers supported the fans in rejecting PSN linking as a requirement.

Great remake that stays true to the original. The only complain is the lack of graphics settings, I had to force AA etc. through NVIDIA Control panel to remove jaggies.

Best survival game in several years. Feels surprisingly stable and polished for being in early access. The engine with its terraforming capabilities is a huge leap against any competition today, making it great fun to build bases and dig caves.

Probably the best game ever. At least, it's the most influential on my life and gaming experience if you include all the mods that comes with it. I mean there is still an active modding scene for this game 25 years later.
