It's the zone, what more can I say?

Battle dangerous mutants! Fight brain scorched people that are literal zombies!
Make friends or foes! But please keep that trusty bolt with you! In the current state this game sets at, it's amazing and with GSC listening to the community more and more the game gets better and better. I can't wait to see the progression of this game as we go further down that road. I really do recommend this game.

For new commers, I welcome you! This is truly a gem of a game and I really really would recommend playing the older games if you wanna catch up on what's going on and why things are the way they are in the zone.
